Weather warning for Iceland 30-December-2015

The weather forecast for Iceland on 30-December-2015 is looking really bad. The worst weather is going to be in eastern Iceland and possibly in western Iceland. It is not known where the worst wind is going to be exactly, but it is going to be real bad weather in eastern Iceland. UK Met Office has named this storm Frank, news about it can be found here (BBC Weather). The main risk is strong wind and rain.

This storm is also going to create a major problems in Faroe Islands and in the general area around Iceland. [link to www.jonfr.com]

Weather has been completely insane in eastern Iceland since early morning. Century old houses and docks are being ripped apart.
Thankfully no injuries so far.

From Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning, a mind-boggling pressure drop was recorded in Iceland: 54 millibars in just 18 hours. This triples the criteria for “bomb” cyclogenesis, which meteorologists use to describe a rapidly intensifying mid-latitude storm. A “bomb” cyclone is defined as dropping one millibar per hour for 24 hours.

NOAA’s Ocean Prediction Center said the storm’s minimum pressure dropped to 928 millibars around 1 a.m. Eastern time, which likely places it in the top five strongest storms on record in this region.

“According to the center’s records, the all-time strongest storm in this area occurred on Dec. 15, 1986, and that had a minimum central pressure of 900 millibars,” Mashable’s Andrew Freedman reported on Tuesday. “The second-strongest storm occurred in January 1993, with a pressure of 916 millibars.”

i am currently watching a programme about Icelandic volcanoes

the statement was made that Laki released 120 million tons of s02

Barda released 12 million tons

10% of Laki

now, i KNOW that is only a small proportion of Laki's release, but it IS still significant

my thinking is the so called 'pollution smogs' being experienced in certain places in the northern hemisphere are actually isolated pockets of the s02 from Barda, being sucked down to the ground by prevailing weather conditions

that IS a problem, as mush as certain people would have you think it ISN'T!

instead of everywhere being affected, only a few places are getting it in the neck. as expected?

these cities restricting cars because of 'pollution' know exactly why they are being poisoned, and are actively participating in the cover up.
