"Doom off" ... as though anyone other than GLP riff-raff declared that Bardarbunga was "Doom-on" to begin with. There are 34 other volcanoes with the same eruption status in the world right now. Just since 29 August a half-dozen volcanoes have produced ash-clouds ranging from a few hundred meters to a few miles high. The Bardarbunda event is significant, but who other than the GLP faithful were calling it a game-changing event to begin with?

I'm pretty sure this event is far from over, and like others have said it will be gradual. We've not seen the worst yet IMO..

The day that the word "doom" got reappropriated by men who delight in blowing things up — and seeing things blown up — was a sad day indeed for the English language.

About a hundred or two pages ago someone posted an overlay of tidal movement and the swarm activity charts that seemed to match nicely. Does anyone have a link to the real-time tide level around Iceland? Could be when we see our EQ's re-intensify.
