Georgia (Paulding) man tests negative for Ebola - still in isolation
PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. —
...

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office and Fire-Rescue confirm they got a 911 call from the man's son Saturday night stating his father recently returned from Nigeria and was showing, what he believed, were Ebola-like symptoms.

Paulding County emergency medical technicians responded to the couple's senior living apartment in full Hazmat suits and rushed the elderly man and his wife to an isolation unit at Emory University Hospital, in DeKalb County -- the same hospital where two American Ebola patients are recovering.

Officials said tests confirmed the man did not have Ebola and, late Monday, they said tests also showed the man did not have Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome or MERS. However, they said the man remains in isolation at Emory.

...

Dallas Mayor Boyd Austin said he had trouble getting any information about what was going on from state health officials.

"It seems like everyone wants to shift the answers somewhere else," Austin said. "I think that there ought to be some point person that answers directly and provides those answers when asked.

and pinned for just plain knocking your head against the wall - what will it take to stop letting flights in like flies coming from a heap of trash?

Georgia got it, one route or another.

This is what the new sickness landscape is - be sick, be from Africa, the potential for damage to yourself and to others is just too much.

stop the flights already.

I'd feel a lot better about these negatives if they would come back and tell us what they DO have. Back in the day when journalists did their jobs, we might actually have some follow up reporting.

Re: Georgia (Paulding) man tests negative for Ebola - still in isolation
Africa.. home of a plethora of diseases which all share similar symptoms.

Malaria, Denge Fever, yellow Fever... The list is quite interesting...

As to what this guy has, well they would have to test for each and every single sort of possibly to know for certain. Most likely they are doing the basics they would do for any of these other diseases. Isolate the patient, treat the symptoms (as most viruses have no treatment) and wait to see if he dies or survives.

And no, the media isn't thinking like it used to. Used to be the Media would want to assure the public that a suspected case of X isn't X and really is Y.

Now they just seek the lead to a sensational story and when the sensation part fails to pan out they move on like sharks to the next meal and cease follow up of the story.

THAT of course is leading to a lot of people having serious doubts about the real situation with this ebola.

But those of us who have been part of the medical community in one capacity or another an attest that there are a rather large number of diseases which isolation is part and parcel of the 'treatment'. So isolation in and of itself is not a thing to worry about or is a definite sign that this is ebola.

So in the near future, just imagine being out in a public building when someone faints. You are suddenly a prisoner as the whole building is put on lockdown. Can't get home to feed your pets, etc..

Remember that CIA jet that flew out of Carterville Ga. to bring that Ebola victim to Emory Hospital in Atlanta? Well Cartersville is in Bartow County and the next county South of Bartow County is Paulding County.

Oh, and one thing I failed to mention is the County seat of Pauding County is Dallas, Ga.

They are trying to tell you something.

Just like the U.S. was changed forever by the Assasination of JFK in Dalls Texas, the U.S. will also be changed forever by introducing Ebola into the U.S. in Dallas Ga.

The news just reported that they have a woman in isolation being tested for ebola in Sacramento. She's in Kaiser Permemente and is only about 35 miles away from me. This is getting more scary!
