Anyone live around Galveston/Baytown Texas area?

the boat was in shallow water and rolled over the capts body was found today

The captain is my cousin.

I have no idea about boats and water but it was almost a 50ft boat... wouldn't it take more than just shallow water to make it capsize? He was a shrimper for his entire life... it runs in my family's blood practically... I don't think he would have made such a simple mistake.

I'm hearing conflicting stories about what happened so I was wondering if someone on here knew anything and if they had a similar/different story to tell....

I have heard that he rescued his son and when he went back for his daughter he never came back up. He was found in the wheelroom today....

The daughter was stuck under the hull for 4 hours standing in fuel and breathing in fumes. She was released from the hospital today and is doing as well as she can under these circumstances...


I'm confused why it would take over a day for the coast guard to find his body if it was in the wheelroom....
