Turns out ISIS who held and beheaded Foley weren't religious jihadists, fighting some spiritual war.

They're simply common criminals who held Foley for ransom and when they didn't get the 132M they were looking for, they beheaded him.

I found it odd they found a nice quiet spot...usually killing an infidel of the American type warrants a parade in the streets with the head and body
