I don't know about this, but the gov. last month decided to subtract over $300 from my mom's retirement for "Medicare". This has never, for as long as I have been paying my mom's bills, etc., been done in a lump sum. Something to work on tomorrow.

As far as the foodstamps reduction, somebody's gotta pay for those vacas, and/or sharing with the new border people. Eh?

As a disabled person I have gotten a cash raise at the beginning of most years... that sounds good on paper; but, my foodstamps are always cut by the same amount as the cash I get... so, my raise, actually is a pay cut

I have been involved in social ministries in my neighborhhod for years before I qualified for any services; and since 1980, nobody has gotten an actual raise... but gas has more than quadrupled, food prices have skyrocketed... plus, Exxon, BP, etc., get more of our tax dollars, and our young troops to help them? While the troops families often recieve foodstamps, which are being cut?

OBTW, Being disabled, I qualify for an Obamaphone; the phone is free, but the plan costs money, and doesn't work; I never used it, and they cut my service... I'm on the $50 a month Gophone plan.

Yes they came here and built railroads, cities, roads and businesses. Now that all of these things have been built there is no more need to build, only maintain if that. All of what exists today is owned by the wealthy so there are little skilled, decent paying jobs, but plenty of lawn mowing, child watching, bathroom cleaning, low paying servant jobs that is all, at least for the majority of work available. When a nation is growing, the people thrive. Once it stops growing only the wealthy thrive.
