The waves break almost right on shore in very little water. I body surfed there once back in the 70's just so I could say I did it. Only 6 ft waves then. Still my stomach was in my throat and I had been a regular body surfing at 52'nd street for a couple of years already. |

Follow the index to southern California beaches. [link to www.surfline.com] Here's one of the Wedge, which is breaking pretty big right now. What is scary about this 20 footer, is its a shorebreak. Ag47 User ID: 61978867 United States 08/27/2014 11:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Good evening dear Goofy Interesting to see hurricanes affecting both the East and West coast of the US. I have a Friend in Washington (State) I wonder if they would be safe. I can't quite recall the West Coast having hurricanes. As rare as say Hawaii having two storms at the same time. Quoting: Snuffielover I don't remember hurricane type storms being a west coast thing either. I thought they were called typhoons in the Pacific, when did they start referring to them as hurricanes? |
