How to reduce NO (nox) emissions from an obd2 v6 jap car ?
Smog check pass fail Limit is 500

By using fuel system cleaners I got it down from 720 to 530
Need just a bit more...

Don't want to change the cats just yet
Hydrocarbons and all other parameters are perfect

What should I try next ?

Also, don't run high octane gas. When you do, the engine increases ignition timing which can increase NOx.

You can get readings down really easy. Read carefully and I will tell you how to do it.

they sometimes get carbon deposits in the intake manifold near the throttle body

add a gallon of methanol to 10 gallons of gas.lowers the combustion temperature

Rubbing alcohol of methanol.

You need at least a gallon if its a smaller Corolla like car.

How fresh are the spark plugs?

Clean the EGR passages first, takes about 2 hours. There is a special tool you can get from Honda.
