VERY dry skin on hands, cracking and bleeding,,,cream not working:(LADIES?ADVICE

Are you in contact with something that is irritating the skin?

Try virgin coconut oil .
Slather it on hands.
Let it remain on hands for 5 minutes.
Then take a warm cloth and gently remove excess.
Do this at least 3 times thru the day.

if you can get sachet of creamed coconut for cooking... use that.

it should already be separated in the sachet into the coconut fibre and the oils sitting on top.

in my 20's, I worked in retail stock; opening up the boxes and handling all the clothing wrecked havoc on my hands. Bleeding around the finger nails, dry hands on both sides, cracking everywhere and nothing worked.

Buy a large tube of Neosporin and apply several times daily.

Home from work; clean hands thoroughly, apply a lot and put on gloves or socks and let it soak it.

Took about a week and my hand cleared up. Afterwards, I applied 2-3 times during the day and never had a problem.

you can put mineral oil on before bed and then wear rubber gloves overnight, that works for me.

I find my hands get the same during winter (where I live it's very cold and dry) and it was caused by washing my hands too often or doing dishes without gloves.

I dramatically reduced the number of times I washed my hands (I think in general our society is too obsessed with germs) and I always wear gloves when washing dishes by hand.

You may also want to limit the use of anti-bacterial soap.

Also, since I haven't seen this written anywhere yet, don't just think EXTERNALLY. If your skin is cracking and peeling make sure to drink plenty of water. Watermelon or grapes are also good for the skin but nothing hydrates like water of course.

Wearing gloves or using hand sanitizer or even soap can really mess up your hands too. If you use any of that stuff, switch it out for a month with something a little less alcohol infused.

its on my knuckles and a few fingers ...water only makes it worse ...I would pay anything to solve it but nothing helps....seems like contact dermatitis....but....

Instead of keeping soap by the sink make a paste of oliveoil and brownsugar. warm your hands in the water and rub it in. Rinse in warm water.

You say vaseline is not working. You could try to put it on (thickly) before bed and put some gloves on, keep them on as you sleep. If you have time to do this during the day, you can, just keep the gloves on for an hour or so.

Stop using "cream" unless its good pure stuff. It usually has alcohol in it which just persists in removing moisture from the skin.

Beeswax is an excellent moisturizer. You could also spread your hands with warm honey and let it set for a bit.

You want to try to create a barrier to prevent the moisture from dissipating from your skin, any cooking oil will work for this purpose.

which will oil your skin all day from the inside.

change soap

Oatmeal is soothing. You could make a nice warm oatmeal concoction and soak your hand in it. Rinse in warm water and then moisturize with oil.

Have you thought about what might be causing this? Did you recently change your diet, maybe add a new type of soft drink or a different brand of spaghetti sauce? Have you changed your laundry detergent or hand soap? Are you handling pesticides or cleaning products?

I have heard that castor oil works when applied directly to skin. It is known as Palma de Criste, Hand of Christ, for its healing ability. If nothing else works, try that.

Go online and buy handmade soaps. Stop using commercial soap on your skin. Also buy some handmade lotion or body butter with oatmeal. Many handmade soapers make these as well.

All commercial soaps are actually detergents and are very damaging to your skin. I started making my own skincare products and never have problems anymore.

In the meantime, look for cocoa butter and apply it neat.

Hemp oil and vitamin E oil mixed together. Slap it on.

Done deal.

This stuff will be the answer to all your problems.Use a small amount on the cuts or cracks and put a bandage over them.This stuff is a miracle for small cuts and abrasions.

Try it and you wont be disappointed,I promise.

using gloves with topical treatments helps a lot. a dermatologist told me that.

Large tube of Neosporin is very cheap, it heals cuts and protects from infection. Pick it up just about anywhere.

Used mild soap and lukewarm water when washing your hands, dry and then apply a lot of neo and put on the socks and enjoy your evening routine.

During the winter months, this works like a pro.

i must add that i hate the feeling of oil on my hands,so an "all day thing wont work..ill probably need something i can leave on for 15 min max and wash off....im trying coconut oil as we speak.... todays not so bad, but the other day, when i was neglectful, my fingers were bleeding ,, aahh. like where the line are when you spead your hand out

May Be:

Candida, over production of Candida.
Protection layer of skin not there.
Reduce all sugary foods to zero.
