1 Timothy 2:1-15
Pray for All Men

2 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ[a] and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

I looked at The President today that most of us are not happy with and wondered if we had prayed harder would things be different, so I want to ask, do you pray for You Leader everyday knowing the challenges he faces ???

Re: Praying for Leaders in this World and Scripture 1 Timothy 2:1-4
So how should we pray for our leaders? First, if we are uncertain that they know Jesus, we should pray for their salvation. But whether or not our leaders are Christians, we should pray that God will guide them as they guide us. We should pray that they be wise and discerning and surrounded by helpful advisors. We know that God has placed our leaders in authority over us (Romans 13:1), and we can ask Him to use them as He will. We should also pray for their protection. When praying for pastors or ministry leaders, we can pray for them to have strength in the midst of spiritual warfare and to remain encouraged in the Lord. We can pray for their families, who often feel scrutinized and bear an extra load.

Briefly stated, we should mention our leaders before God in prayer and ask Him to have His way in their hearts, to support those around them, and to use their leadership to benefit their followers.

We encourage you also to visit BillyGraham.org's "Pray for Leaders" section.

This came to me when I saw Turkey elected a new leader that many say is very Islam

Critics of Mr Erdogan say the move will make him more authoritarian. Opposition MPs walked out of the ceremony.

Outgoing Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is set to be PM after being elected head of the governing AK Party.

Mr Erdogan promised in his presidential oath to protect Turkey's independence and integrity, to honour the constitution and adhere to the principles of the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

Why should you pray for leaders that are corrupt and unjust??
Why pray for leaders that think that they are better than you and me and treat us like slaves working their plantation??

Re: Praying for Leaders in this World and Scripture 1 Timothy 2:1-4
1) The Lord God Almighty can do all things; there is nothing impossible for Him (Luke 1:37).

2) The Lord God Almighty invites His people to pray to Him. Prayer to God should be made persistently (Luke 18:1), with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6), in faith (James 1:5), within the will of God (Matthew 6:10), for the glory of God (John 14:13-14), and from a heart right with God (James 5:16).

3) The Lord God Almighty hears the prayers of His children. He commands us to pray, and He promises to listen when we do. “In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears” (Psalm 18:6).

4) The Lord God Almighty answers prayer. “I call on you, O God, for you will answer me” (Psalm 17:6). “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles” (Psalm 34:17).

Re: Praying for Leaders in this World and Scripture 1 Timothy 2:1-4
In a study which needs far more investigation, let us close with one final testimony of the power of God which goes beyond any human participation. Elisha, the Old Testament prophet whose miraculous powers are described in the early chapters of 2 Kings, is caught in a dangerous situation. He is trapped in a walled city with a hostile army surrounding the city. His servant saw the horses and chariots of the enemy and was terrified. What was Elisha's response to his servant, knowing full well that the enemy was planning to seize him? "He said, 'Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.' Then Elisha prayed and said, 'O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.' So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha," (2 Kings 6:16-17). The real battle is with the unseen, and that battle has already been won through the blood sacrifice of our Lord Jesus.

The role of prayer in battling the invisible forces of wickedness is simply one of a spirit of alertness and constant humble communion with God the Father. "To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints," (Ephesians 6:18b). In addition, recognize the enemy. "For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ," (2 Corinthians 10:3-4). Scripture is full of testimonies of God's power over our invisible enemies, Satan and all his hosts. For additional study, read 1 Kings 18 and see the awesome power of God at work yet again.

Lord please send your angels to all the leaders of our world to give them strength against evil and to give them a new sence of clarity about Your will

Please send Your holy light down to surround President Obama so he will be protected and feel Your love. Give our President strength, clarity and power to protect this country as well as our allies for God's sake.

Please protect anyone that unknowingly comes close to our enemy and help them to understand truth before lies.

Please help the children of the world to be protected and hidden from the horrors of war. Please Jesus hurry the children back to a good loving mother and in the warmth and safety of Your arms.

Give me continued faith and strength to endure this time before us all.

Amen

Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
Psalm 109:8

The world is not where it is today because of Christian Leaders , let them ALL have few days, because they are as said serving another god - eternal wars for oil, more starving people since the non profits started sending them food, more poverty, more pollution from big business, and dumbed down schools where if you said, "I thank you Jesus" you would be arrested for a hate crime.

Yea, I pray for them, Even so, come Lord Jesus

Do you render unto Caesar, as the scripture demands?

I pray for a sound mind. I pray that I may get what I deserve. But sound doesn't pass my lips. The supreme deity hears this through intellect alone. The highest faculty mankind possess.

I thought about the things I pray for. I was fairly sure my little 10 min prayers covered a lot. All kinds of people and places in my prayers. I am very thankful for your reminder. I was stumbling and did not realize it. In all I can not ever remember praying for the leaders of this world to gain the wisdom of truth or spirit of love they need for the will of God to succeed.oops
That is so important at times like this to help each one keep on the narrow path.

May the spirit of love and truth always stay with you OP. Thank you.
