What if our bodies were releasing hallucinogens at all times?

Oh I got a feeling there a few folks here for which that is very true.

It does every night when you sleep. Called DMT. Produced somewhere in brain but "science" is not quite sure where. It is what causes dreams.

I once knew a guy who had taken so much LSD, that after awhile all he had to do was touch his tongue to the roof of his mouth in order to dose himself.

I don't know if it was true, but this guy was so messed up it wouldn't surprise me if it was true.
Case in point: he went to our local police station and told them he was a chicken, and then started acting like one.

What if we were all hallucinating by default, and "hallucinogens" actually did the opposite, by stopping our hallucination letting us see reality as it really is, but that the natural hallucination is actually a way to trick us into thinking the world is ridged, structured, and ordered... to keep us sane.
