Your analysis does not take in the context of this passage, which is speaking to the Laodicean church and prophesying about the order of the types of churches throughout the church age.

This is the segment of Revelation where John writes about "the things which are."

Each of the 7 churches represent the types of churches throughout church history , and also shows the order of the church that will predominate each era of the church age.

The Laodicean Church is the predominate church of today, and it is the last church mentioned in Revelation until the 2nd coming of Christ.

I don't agree. Technology is just a tool, not only from your brain but from your heart too. Human brotherhood have improved very much thank to the right technology just to help and as service to others, improving life and living with dignity. Technology is too a tool for spiritual maturity, but not an end by itself, only a mean or way to be more human, even a better human being.
