My sister works for a large Coal mine driving haul truck. She told me about a month and a half ago that at one of their daily meetings, their foreman told the group that "he probably shouldn't be saying anything because he could get in trouble...but that the company is making major preparations for the possibility of a blackout caused by a solar flare".

Yesterday she called me and said that she thought it was really strange that the last 2 nights, they closed the whole mine down for 7/8 hrs and sent everyone home early to run drills for the possibility of a power outage due to a solar flare. The entire mine & power was shut down. She thought it was odd because she knows how much money they lose when production stops even for minutes.

I don't know...maybe big companies have been doing this all along?

Anyways, just an FYI...

This is a cover up, they are not afraid of a blackout caused by a solar flare, but by a blackout caused by an EMP. Of course they will never even mention EMP, but that's the real threat sold to sheeple as a solar flare blackout threat!

Perhaps a terrorist knockout of power.. solar flare might just be the so called natural reason to do testing .. you know either way any company that is preparing drills without a here we are doing a emergency drill is interesting.

maybe explains the isp outages and the like.. prepping what to do..

if there is a flare coming they know about it already.. and if it is a terrorist FF event they know about that too..

But I don't get what her company is trying to prove with a drill like this. I mean, if it happens they can't run trucks, they don't have a back up power source to run their operations.

They'd need to get mules and horses, build a stable, set up a steam powered system then try their drill.

Hell, just thinking they can send folks home in an EMP situation is a fail because it assumes folks can drive their cars. What is the company going to do if folks are stranded or if even fires break out because of massive shorts and transformer explosions?

I said the same thing when she told me about what the foreman said. I'm like...unless they turn the mine into a giant faraday cage, there's not much they can do in the event of an EMP. But it wouldn't surprise me if a solar flare was blamed for a man-made blackout. To be honest I sort of chalked up what she said a month ago to maybe the foreman being a paranoid "sun-tard", lol. So I was surprised by what she told me yesterday about the shut-downs. I'll ask her tonight what exactly they told her about the exercises the last 2 days...

Yeah right. So the foreman is told to keep his mouth shut about something very important and decides to tell a group of people about it? Also he told a group of people knowing any one of them could be a big mouth and let the foreman's bosses know he has told people?

You know, when someone comes not to warn us of something, we are all going to be so skeptical, that we brush it off and beat them down- missing our small window of time to help others or grab last minute necessities. Stop wasting time with your sill comments to say you don't believe the person. Be proactive- ask questions and help figure out if this could be our heads up notice. Really though- people wast so much time saying stuff is BS. I think we all can make up our own minds and decide what to believe and what not to believe.
