It's waiting game as to how many companies located currently in Scotland relocate.. I know they are expecting a significant jobs boost in the impovrised Northern Parts of England should the Scots vote to go.. Plus the ship building areas are waiting for the return of all those Naval contracts to breath life in what are dying ship building ports in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.. It'll be interesting and fun to watch how this develops.. I for one am fully behind their voting to break free from Westminster, shame though that they'll join the EU and become part of the Eurozone... |

So no real independency, unlike your country OP, which is fully independent. First, I think they'll chicken out and vote to stay in, I might be wrong. But they know where their bread's buttered, and who pays for their free university education, free health prescriptions etc, both of which the English members of the UK have to pay for. But in the event they do go for independence, (which I hope they do!) they won't still be part of the EU. They'd have to apply and that would take a long time to be approved, if ever. |
