"Modern Problems" Chevy Chase's induction into the Illuminati
I recently re-watched the film, "Modern Problems"starring Chevy Chase, and I cannot believe the amount of occult references and subtle ritualistic magic the film has in it. It blew me away! I remember seeing it for the first time at around the age of nine, and it was one of my favorite movies. I thought the main song was awesome as well. The opening scene takes place in an air traffic control tower where the floor is, of course, black and white checkered tile. Without getting too detailed, let me run down just a few occult symbolic scenes:

1. Transformation scene: Chevy is drenched in a toxic goo from out of a truck because the latch on his sun roof broke while it was open.

2. Rebirth: He recognizes his power while in the shower (water birth). He is extremely happy.

3. The blood ritual: Chevy causes one of his nemeses to bleed a fountain of blood at a restaurant.

4. Sex ritual: Chevy induces his girlfriend with multiple orgasms with his mind.

5. Full demonic possession: Chevy snorts a giant line of "Demon Powder" laid out by a muti-theist character played by Nell Carter. After he snorts the line, he crawls all over an all seeing eye poster with the grand architect perched above. If you look closely to the room you can see Baphemet, and a multitude of other deities plastered throughout Nell Carter's room.

I'm of the opinion this was Chevy's initiation into the Illuminati . I also believe that John Belushi was a Hollywood sacrifice of which Chevy was a part of. Chevy's number is about up. I think we'll be hearing about his death, or some life threatening, or even terminal illness in the not-too-distant future. I hope it was all worth it, Chevy...

Chevy Chase was also known to be the coke dealer for the cast of SNL after he joined the second season. BIG TIME coke head.

A nice and shiny one star from a die hard Chevy fan, no doubt. I'm not hating on the guy, just pointing out one of the players in the Holly Wood Land. agent

No big deal. I don't take it personal. I just watched it for the first time since I was a kid last night. I wanted to write a thread right after watching it, but it was too late-had to be up early in the morn. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I can't believe it is so rife with occult references. There was a DVD release in 2005. You can also see it on Netflix like I did; if that's an option.

I wouldn't doubt it for second, OP. One way or another, he made his choice.

Ken Shapiro directed and co-wrote "Modern Problems". He also did a small film with Chevy back in '74 called "The Groove Tube" that I also saw as a child. He didn't do much else, but he was a part of the Milton Berle Show back in '48.

Chevy played a subversive clown on a children's show that made parents leave the room. After the parents were ordered to leave, Chevy would light up a smoke and give the childrens the straight dope with cigarette in hand. burnit
