First, it would be exceedingly dangerous to inject the blood of an Ebola patient into another person who doesn't have Ebola as it would certainly infect them without the most stringent filtration to isolate the antibodies, extensive rinsing away the viral particles, disinfecting with UV light and ozone, re-washing the antibodies, and then mixing the isolate with plasma before injecting into the Ebola patient. It is a dangerous proposition as just 1 viral particle is all that would be necessary to infect a "patient" who was thought to be infected but had some other disease, or had a different strain of Ebola and could then have two different viral agents to fight. Thus, the new US victim must have the Ebola, and hopefully the same strain as Dr. Brantly had/has. It will be interesting to see if this new US victim recovers using this blood of a recovered Ebola patient therapy.

Not to mention the fact that they don't even know what it is in the blood transfusion that leads, maybe, to a cure.!

Exactly right. If it is antibodies it would probably only be of value if there were enormous numbers of them, and then only if the victim had not been producing their own antibodies, or were recently enough infected so they had not yet ramped up to high antibody production within their body. There may be some unknown factor other than antibodies as well. I believe that the mortality is going to be way higher in Africa due to extreme malnutrition, low Vitamin C and D3 levels and many disease organisms due to terrible hygiene that their bodies are constantly having to try to fight off. Thus, their immune systems are not able to mount an effective counterattack against the fifth simultaneous disease the immune system is trying to vanquish.

All of the basic treatments have to be on stand and healthy diets that include nutrients a must.
