P.S. Lawrence King was found guilty of running a pedophile ring. For those Republitards who weren't aware.

Unless you acknowledge the corruption on BOTH sides of the political paradigm nothing will change.

liberalism is destroying everything.

can't spank children, can't tell gays to stfu, can't buy ammo, can't see a good future here. Everybody is weak, out of shape, ugly, stupid, ignorant, and defiant.

Lawrence King was a fat member of the GOP who sung the national anthem at the 1984 Republican National Convention. He is currently serving jail time.

11. It's disgusting how people in this country point fingers at one side of the political paradigm and ignore corruption on the side they support. This is the reason our country is fucked up.

I think sports added to that kind of thinking.

I have no children and now I am really glad about that.

Those with child just complain about them. Seem to be a real pain in the ...

Plus, I don't worry all days for their futurs. I don't give a damn s... about where the society goes, and how we will leave the planet to the children. Majority of those with children don t care, why should I ?

I think humanity will be sweep like the dinosaur, the difference is that we deserve it.

I will finish my life alone ? Yes, cool, I appreciate to be alone. I often refuse to go out with friend because it is getting boring.

I think that internet is so interesting that it make talking to people really boring. You want to talk about sport, cinema, music, cars or weather ? Not me :)

A majority of the population has evil spirits attaching themselves to them and a minority is actually possessed.

They can clear up OP's list, but the problems will resurface.

Part of me says to this, and to you, well, if you're going to give up, shut the fuck up, give up, and go away.

Because bitching and moaning isn't helping anyone.

Yeah, it's kind of bad out there. For some people, terrible. For others, deadly. Things are grim and are going to get even more so.

But we are a long way from the end, folks.

I am in my 23rd year of teaching college English and American literature and creative writing.

One of my very first students died in the Pentagon on 9/11.

One of my more recent students is finishing up his Rhodes Scholarship appointment to Oxford University, and will soon be commissioning as a captain in the United States Army. I believe he soon will be teaching at West Point.

My freshmen this year are not much different than years before. They are just a wee bit more sheltered, believe it or not, and very naïve.

Now, how could 18 year olds today be very naïve? Well, for one thing, I think what we adults hear and see around us and freak out about, quickly becomes background noise to many of them, because still, more than anything else, the one thing they are interested in and motivated by is - - - - - the same thing it's always been: each other.

They will make their way in the world, one way or another. It is what humans do.

But it is made more difficult by the likes of you who want to throw in the towel, declare the society sick beyond healing, and call for it to be destroyed. To be nuked, someone said.

Well, screw you guys! Be happy, be hopeful, be resolute, be brave, be noble, be kind, be grateful. And if you can't, screw you! Why?

Negative waves, man. Y'all, some of you, are calling out demons here and there, saying folks are possessed, but I guarandamntee you that the spirit of surrender, of capitulation, of woeful wailing is also of the badddddddd side.

Are you walking around in meatspace slackjawed with abjection, reeking the sour, stale rankness of surrender?

Get that shit to yourself, Yo. Don't infect the children with your black hole psychic succubidness.

Avoid the youthful, the hopeful, the inspired, the driven, the adventurers. That way you won't shit on their dreams and their futures. Who needs that? And who needs that from you?

I'm waiting to hear from any one of you who might be parents, because what I've read so far is surrender drivel from non-parents, who seem to delight in the contemplation of a world, sans their genetic tidbits, doomed to a quick demise. Apres moi, le apocalypse . . .

I go into my classes to teach 18 year olds writing, and I've told them that the world is chaotic and dark and weird and dangerous, but that they have to suck it up, learn how to be adaptable, how to think sideways while moving up and back, and that language skills, particularly writing skills, develop their minds in the kinds of ways that make them better able to live their lives.

I've told them, having borrowed it from somewhere, and adapted to my use, Education is that thing that best equips you for the living of your life.

I told them the first week of class that no one can tell them what jobs there will be in the future, because it is apparent to us now that the pace of technological advancement is outpacing the imagination of its users. No one knows what might be invented in three years that would change EVERYTHING. Just as when I graduated college in 1982, no one could tell me about careers revolving around the internet.

So I am plugging the dike while you jokers are setting demolition charges. I've got two daughters, one in college, one headed there next year. I tell them what's what in the world, but I also tell them to keep on keeping on with their dreams. This day isn't ended yet, so dream on. We don't know what tomorrow is, or even if it will be. Selah.

I acknowledge all of your numbered points, but I'm not going into class Monday and telling the kids, "You know, might as well just pack it in. The future is a diarrhea stew."

Can't. Not my nature.

And, no, don't have my head in the sand. I'm concerned about many things, but I've DONE something other than wailing and gnashing my teeth.

Have any of you sat with your county supervisor or city council person and spoken with them at length about Ebola, and put in his or her hands the materials needed to start local action at the county or city level?

No? Well, then, . . .

Would like to add to the religious part...
"Christian" denominations follow man-made doctrines rather than the Bible. This leads to cults and man worship rather than a relationship with God. And in turn, this causes unbelievers to not only disagree with anyone called a christian, but to despise and reject anything they have to say.

Archons, jwes, toxoplasma gondii. As long as parasitic entities like these go undetected, any attempt at an ordered society will eventually break down.

Society is sick because there are way too many people giving up. Good people, nice people!!!! They are the first to give up in this cruel hard sicken world. Then you have zillions of people on drugs, alcohol, medication. psychiateric centers cant handle the load anymore. The world today is a nutjob, if you wanne survive, you have to backstap, lie, cheat, commit fraude and sell your grand children..just to survive. Yep. Society is sick. And falling apart. Give it max 10 years and all the world is in uprising. Good luck to all!antibsantibs

Re: Do you believe Society is Sick? If so, how?
My girl told me when she was around 9 that women and children are saved.

She said she went through a time tunnel

and it led her to another place. It came out to a beautiful

crystal blue pool with the sun shining on her face

and flowers all around. She looked up and there were tall

trees and the sun shining through on her and the bluest sky ever.

She said there were only women and children there.

After a while, tall men she described as tall Viking looking

came through the spiral opening, and they changed in front her.

They were ugly dirty looking and with bad teeth, but then suddenly changed into beautiful princes.

I can't believe we're at a point in society where we actually have to question the authenticity of a school shooting at an elementary school.
