Macy's Data Breach -- Anyone?
If you have a Macy's card, check your statement!!

I've had a Macy's Store/American Express credit card for years and never use it. The statement came in the mail days ago, but I ignored it, since I haven't used the card for anything -- much less for purchases on Amazon.com! There are two purchases from Amazon showing on my statement that are not mine.

First of all, I would never use the Macy's AMEX to make purchases on Amazon ffs. I think the last time I used my Macy's card was 2 years ago, and only at Macy's.

Just a head's up for anybody who has a Macy's account. Check your statement.

Also, there is no "news" about Macy's being hacked -- of course. That news will come 6 months to a year later, I'm sure.

When Target was hacked, I recall hearing of other "undisclosed" retailers being hacked at that time. "Undisclosed"??? Thanks.

Hi,

I had a breach 2 days ago, and they acted like maybe it was a mistake, but it was not. I am sure it was hacked. It added a number to my email, and gave fake numbers for the phone. Had a 500 dollar food processor delivered, with no signature, I am furious that it happened. They will not take the charge off till they send me papers and I fax back. They better take it off, did they take yours off?

This just happened to my macy's amex card.. Someone bought stuff and it got sent my house, maybe because I had bought stuff from that online retailer before. I don't use the card, it's been in the house.

My question is, did they use your card somewhere you had shopped before? I feel it was almost like a troll. LIke haha FU I have your credit info. Cause they bought huge bags of whey protein Isolate, $239.00 worth. Then they sent it to my house?...

WTF?

Re: Macy's Data Breach -- Anyone?
I only have a Macy's Department store card, not an AMEX. I was in the process of checking out doing some on-line shopping and found my default billing AND shipping address had been changed to someone else's name and address. They had changed the area code of my phone # by one digit and added digits to my email. They purchased two Dyson vaccuum cleaners on 11/20 for at total of $1200 and had them shipped to this new address with no signature required on 11/25.

Called Macy's and they didn't let on like there was a wide spread problem, but clearly something is going on because others have had same problem. I found this before the bill even came in the mail.

They were supposed to email me fraud paperwork within 24 hours, but I have yet to receive it. I am giving them until tomorrow and I am calling back.

Aaaaand now you guys know why I do not sign up for department store credit cards and only keep cards active that I actually use on a regular basis. It's much easier to keep tabs on two or three credit cards then six or seven
anrgry at Macy's!

My Macy's American Express Card was used on Amazon.com. I never use this card, I only used it last Christmas to get the discount. I have been calling them every month and they keep telling me something different. I will never shop at Macy's again! Now they said they have 60 days to investigate this charge (and oh by the way that doesn't include weekends or holidays) This will be going on into February!

Had a breach on my card 12/20/14. Default billing, phone and e-mail had been changed to a guy in Florida. $115 watch. Will be calling to dispute the charge.

Wonder if they're keeping the breach under wraps?

The hack is known, but yes, the criminally complicit media, is ignoring, so as to make the shoppers not afraid.

The media made you shop at Macy's, they don't care if you are safe, Macy's ain't supported by what you'd call "smart" people. No offense. More like Mac/Android users which means: 100% ripe for exploitation, because, well, I mean how fucking simply should computers be MADE??

Re: Macy's Data Breach -- Anyone?
When the lower-IQ crowd are demanding childishly simply computers, they are also all asking for their candy to be taken.

Electricity has pain and consequence. Steve Jobs should have remembered that before he put that power in people's hands. That power in those dumb hands, will be the doom of money/data for the most part. Clusters of info/bandwidth will survive the dummie-mob-collapse when it happens, I assume, but this IP era was lost by the slabfondling Mac using non tech betas who should never have been given tech at all. That's my wrap up.

Macy's? Really? I mean I know it's a brand or whatever, but as a brand. it's not even on my radar.

NO point of sale location is any measure of safe, but sheer numbers means if you follow good advice, check your statements, etc AND DON'T USE STORE CARDS then you might be fine in the future.

Also be extremely aware of PayPal scams, and if you are dabbling in cryptocoin, be ready ot have your cards shut off, etc, at a whim, by the FBI who is hunting coin and hackers and also USING the same coins and hackers.

The FBI is the inquisitory arm of Roman Jesuit inquisitors. Totally non Constitutional, un needed arm of police, to be honest. I don't know what to do with them, all these armies of supposedly good and hired bad soldiers/agnets makes me sick.

My advice is: GTFO of any combat zones, financially. Stay low, keep head down, do not place any funds at risk, unless you are able to lose these. Do not use word-based passwords, use the most complex and longest PW you can.

In fact, many people just go dark and use only cash, money orders, etc, it's basically a corral they will put anyone smart, into. If you are using cash, one merchant will see you as stupid, another will see you as smart, so it's a mix. One party you pay hates coins, the other party you pay, accepts only specie or coin, the future is diverse, due to enforced chaos plan.

Mao has to execute all smart people overnight, that's how he works, so, if you are smart, you ar the enemy of Obama's ideological masters, I am not saying anyting people at the top don't know. Smart people, beware, you are not wnted in the tech future they plan. Dummies only.

Now then,

If you want to become more eductaed, simply read "Theives World" by Claire Sterling. Is explains why laundering and FINCEN se themselves as the annointed moneycops of the world.

Heroin from Asia, comes to US and weapnized into Russia, Coke from Americas goes to Europe and judges/attys/cops in the power matrix (along with kids butts or whatnot, all black market contraband)

I am glad to have GLP where I can explain, as in the goverrments thread, that black markets are what run the world. When these vbubble over, it will be a world of theft, for while, until order (I suppose?) is retored. That's how I see it going. Like WW2 lasted 7 years or so, and during that, human flesh, gold, oil, all had different values based on where what why, etc.

I got a bill today from Macy's saying i owed $152.00 for a purchase made with my Macy's AMex Card. I don't use my Macy's card outside Macy's when I do use it. I am disputing it but...damn I can see maybe it is because of the breach...

Someone used my Macys card on 12/27/15 to order an electronic $100 gift card. They changed my email address by adding a few digits.
