Iraq War, Failure, Lies and the Consequences | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 62908654 United Kingdom 09/16/2014 11:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | President Bush said that the biggest regret of his presidency was "the intelligence failure" in Iraq, while the Senate Intelligence Committee found in 2008 that his administration "misrepresented the intelligence and the threat from Iraq". A key CIA informant in Iraq admitted that he lied about his allegations, "then watched in shock as it was used to justify the war". The removal of Saddam was in some respects a very big mistake, the former President of Iraq stated himself he was "holding the country together with his fist". Now with the division of the various tribes, and the rise of the Islamic State, which may of been the result of the brutality of the Assad regime, or some other dark manipulations of the on going conflicts by those that have an agenda. The real losers in this are the ordinary folks like you and me, in Syria and Iraq. |
