Agree! They have been lying for so long they don't know the truth anymore, their convinced their lies to be the truth.

I knew one once who made all kind of wild stories to make his life sound interesting. Once you got to know a little about him you knew he was crazy. He made up all kinds of wild stories about his special forces career.

What have been some of her biggest whoppers? (if you don't mind me inquiring)

Yup it makes them extremely angry to hear the truth!

Pathological liars tend to suffer from narcissistic personality disorder. Narcissists create their own version of truth/reality that allows them to feel good about themselves. In their mind they can do nothing wrong. They are always the "good guy", "the victim" or the leader; so they twist reality to fit their perception of themselves. It is not necessarily because they "hate" the truth (at least not a conscious level), their mental illness doesn't even allow them to see it.

I dated a woman once whom I caught in an outright lie. She whined and cried that she was telling the truth and said she wanted to take a "lie detector test to prove it. Well, I certainly went along with it....guess what? She not only failed, but their was a Forensic Psychiatrist in the room who wanted to witness the exam and she added that the woman was "a pathological liar who believed even in her own lies." She immediately went in to some kind of psychotic bizarre outburst that was amazing to witness. I must add that she was also a "narcissist": I used to catch her talking to herself while gazing into the mirror... I never knew this kind of behavior directly and believed everything she said, because there is no way somebody could just outright lie about something, serious or trivial, but the liberating wake-up call didn't come 'till later and I finally can sit back and laugh at it....never got married, never got her pregnant - I got off cheap - because I did want to marry her and have a child early next year in the Spring. There is a God!!!

What happens when a bunch of pathological liars own all of the media and pound all of society with lies, every minute of every day? Now if they were to collaborate, they might be able to turn society into someone else's idea of utopia and most would just go along with the idea that their whole purpose in life is to make money and buy stuff.

Now so these liars hate the truth or would they even have the ability to recognize it if they heard it, seeing that it never comes from their own mouths?

I must add that the woman whom I knew, diagnosed as a "pathological liar," had a couple of tattoos, indicative of NO self-respect, or self worth on top of all the other issues,including theft, bank fraud, etc. I don't want to go into two traumatic events that this woman went through as a young girl, which might explain some of the "psychotic-breaks," of hers that I experienced. Strangely enough, they say you shouldn't feel sorry or pity these type of people, and I don't, but I do pray for her and others that have this deep and dark problem with the truth and anyone who speaks it; they will hold resentment and contempt for you, using some vicious imagining that appears real to them so they can further justify her behavior, which she would deny she ever did and "take-it-to-the-grave." LOL!

In a world of universal lies, the truth is like poison.

Not just liars, but anybody who has bought into the bullshit illusion they mistake for "the world" hates the truth. It's disturbing to them.

Be careful. My youngest sister is the same. She became dangerous with time to anyone who stood up to her.

In time, there will be inheritence issues. Watch your back, and your parents' too.

the funny thing is being accused of lying when you only tell the truth, because it is what people least expect, because they all lie.
