How could it possibly be in their best interest to do so?. I just don't get it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22747341 Because they spread the costs out over all their customers. This is why families pay several thousand in premiums each year plus extra for deductibles before they even pay on claims - which are then paid at only 70 or 80 percent. There are a lot of us getting mighty tired of paying $5K out of our pockets before insurance pays its first dime in our own healthcare. We are paying for all those idiots who are smokers, obese with diabetes, share drug needles and contract Hep c, etc. Note that there are drugs which are old - such as Lasinopril for high blood pressure - which cost next to nothing. Their costs have long been recovered. Companies want to make hay while the sun shines - and before the generics take over the market. |

Quoting: The Old Timer Not only do I save money....I save so much time.....4 days in Mexico....6 months here I've considered doing this. The quality of work concerns me however. Sound like you've had good experiences. Do they offer gas? |

And that leads me to think "because profits". More people in India means they can offer medications at lower prices and still make a great profit. Plus the purchasing power of the average U.S. patient is much greater than in India. |

Only tranquilizers require a small fee, so a Xanax supply for one month costs you 15 bucks or so. But I hate drugs, I had been on steroids for 12 years, it ruined my life. While I later found out my autoimmune disease was easily fixed after detoxing gluten from my food and body. |
