Price of Ground Beef Hits All-Time High

went to the groceries yesterady and did notice an increase in ground beef product.

it's about $6.50/lb for the package and we were like uhhh no.

I don't even buy meat from the grocery store anymore. My butcher has way better quality/fresher meats and the prices seem way better.

Yet the prices of steak and other cuts of beef have stayed the same...what kind of game is that???

Ya tell me about it. The wife wanted to make a lasagna and itsead of running across town to the butcher, I went to the grocery store, 16.88 for aronud 2 pounds... FKn insane.. It didn't even look that fresh

Waitrose store in the uk charging £9.00 for a fucking half kilo.

Our food situation is not good. Beef is way to high. Chicken prices are also rising let alone every other food product in the store. We started fishing the lakes and rivers, stocking up for winter. We are legal hunters. With 2 adults hunting our limits if we make our limits (deer and elk) we wont have to buy meat from the market. O and october starts bird season so add bird to our menu. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Targeting of the lower and middle class nothing more.Hamburger used to be the cheapest meat you could get now it's damn near worse than a t bone steak.

So I was in the wal mart plant department yesterday... saw a sign that said a person with EBT card could buy plants, herbs, fruit an nut trees with these cards.. how crazy is that??? takes fruit/nut trees about 10 years to ever start producing... like these people are going to produce or grow something... that right there proves it's a life time thing.. buying something that in ten year might have a apple on it.. while they're suppose to be hungry/in need right now.. and maybe in 10 years you could feed yourself.. some weird stuff..

They just need to add more ersatz or wood powder filler and drop the price point so Walmart shoppers are happy again. Most people don't give a shit about nutrition. They just want it cheap to mix into hamburger helper anyways. It could be 50 percent recycled used maxi pad fibers in that burger and if it was cheap enough they would love it.

it got that high here before summer and has settled back down to 3.68 lb for 73% lean

85% is still above 4

those lucky enough that own a Cuisinart can look for cheaper or on sale cuts of chuck or round and grind it,
result is very lean, you not buying the fat.
