anyway.......... you can talk about "pixel perfect" but the REAL reason you got a flat screen tv is because you want to be trendy and follow the crowd,you are to small minded to stand on your own...you are weak minded and easily led!

While it is true plasma is an older technology, it is still in use today. Also the term "LED TV" is a marketing ploy as they are still LCD TVs. The only difference between the earlier LCD sets and newer sets labelled LED is the light source.

Oh come on - your starting to sound like my grandad. I can still remember the high frequency whenever one of those box tvs are turned on. I could even sense when neighbours turned theirs on - thats not healthy. And if you honestly believe that there are hackable cameras in flat screen tvs then dig deeper and find and provide proof. If you honestly are still watching on that frequency machine box tv then i dont envy you. Dont let this conspiracy stuff into your everyday life - no one is out to target you specifically.

I love my old Sony projection TV, great sound.

When it goes out I'll just gut it and go with the puppet show idea. Love some Punch and Judy.

The flat screens do have better picture (if 1080 or better) but all that reality distracts me and the digital lag sucks.

That 'high frequency' you are referring to is actually low frequency [15.75khz] and it is for the horizontal deflection circuits.

My sony wega 36" weighs like 200 pounds. That suckers a monster.... I've just been waiting for it to totally die before we get a new flat screen. But i'll be moving soon and plan on selling it with the house. It's down in the basement and I don't want to move that sucker. It's staying with the house. lol.

I still use my old TVs. It is true flat screens have a much better picture. I am used to my old crappy TVs and don't intend to replace them until they burn out. I just don't watch TV enough to throw away $100 or so buying a flat screen when the old TV works just fine.

im posting on a 47" Panasonic Viera. Owned it for 3 years bought it on Ebay for 220 and i wouldnt swap it for double that.

I don't watch TV. I watch DVDs and Blu Rays. Instead of a TV I use an HD projector. Bigger than any TV (it takes up my entire wall so the picture is about 9ft wide). It is 1080p so in theory looks just as good as a TV. I don't use a screen and just project it on the bare wall.. It still looks good, though I know it would look much better on projector screen... but it's 9ft wide who cares??!

i have noticed a lot of flat screens burn out within 2 years,its a rip off


flat screens have a slightly better picture but not that much,not much differnce at all really

What brand and model? Is it really as good as a tv?

The electric field is accelerating dust particles up till 120 miles/h from the screen straight into the room.
You also have a large magnetic field going 6 feet into the room.
