Well stop breathing and eating...the body has functions, welcome to them. It may be a different thing if we were talking about someone who couldn't even leave the house because a mental disorder has them constantly masturbating....but we are talking about your average human needs.

For what it's worth, I've known dozens of fellow believers who have struggled with this, often in major ways.

Two of the most remarkable stories I've heard in overcoming this involved medications. Please understand, I believe wholeheartedly in deliverance, and I further believe healing was part of Jesus Christ's atonement. Anyway, here are the stories:

Case 1: Doc finds my porn-addicted friend has low testosterone. His doc prescribes a testosterone patch, and my friend no longer struggles with porn. It was within a day or two that the overwhelming urge to look at porn faded away.

Case 2: Another friend is diagnosed with ADHD. Doc prescribes meds, and my friend's struggle drastically decreases. He said something like, "I longer feel hopelessly enslaved by it; I am tempted, but more like I think a normal guy is tempted."

I think you and I agree viewing porn is a sin. I have also come to accept that PART of the drive to sin--in some cases--involves brain or body chemistry. Please hear me: I am not saying this excuses sin. Instead, addressing the chemistry can be THE missing link in overcoming the moral struggle.

And yes, I believe Jesus Christ can and will heal the chemistry, yet most porn-addicted believers I know have more doubt than faith, so divine healing *usually* eludes them. Hence, my qualified endorsement of meds as one option to consider.
