Quoting: PolarPrecursor The same thing could and probably will happen again if they send troops over there...after all if hospital workers and doctors equipped with all kinds of precautionary gear still end up getting the virus then soldiers who have less adequate protective gear will surely get it and bring it back here. Really stupid move by our leaders. I mentioned the 1918 flu in another post. If it happened today people would freak. The death toll was astronomical. Scary stuff. Will history repeat itself??? |

You’d make a ring around where it is, and you’d quarantine the area.” Holy shit again - “You don’t get Ebola from Europe,” she told WND. “You get Ebola from Africa. And it’s a really simple formula: Don’t let people fly to America if they’ve been to areas where there’s an outbreak. When there’s an outbreak, stop air [traffic] flow.” They are telling it like it is! No sugar coating this. This is nothing more than an epic disaster in the making. If you don't care now, odds are you will by the end of the year. yep first thing that came to mind is that bullets may be more useful then doctors. Might be too late too. |

I would think that number could barely contain one small city...forget about a whole country. Either there is a couple very defined locations like a base or mine or airport of strategic importance.. Or these troops are purposely being used to get infected and come home and kickstart a pandemic here. Just doesnt make sense. |

Just seems to me it's not our responsibility. Maybe if the nations involved tried to help themselves and just couldn't some humanitarian aid would be the right thing to do but this is just a clusterfuck in the making. I can't imagine what good we can do there that is worth the risk. Really, I can't wrap my head around it. |

I don't think so ... for one thing, we know alot more about diseases and how they are spread now ... this one has been around since the mid seventies and it has never gotten out of Africa - and we have never halted air traffic or quarantined nations (or cities) .... yeah yeah yeah, there weren't as many people to spread it ... so it gets farther every time it flares up but better communications allow people to isolate themselves if it does come into their local environment, you will prob be safe if you stay away from hospitals and their employees ... til it burns itself out ... the mortality rate is only around fifty percent if you do get it and that may be high - considering how many people don't get help/diagnosed - really can't compare the two diseases - other than they fact that they are prob both man made bio-weapons of mass distruction - Spanish flu is what stopped WWI - maybe ebola will stop WWIII it is not even all over Africa ... its only in a few metro areas ... in a few countries ... again, its been around for fifty years now and life goes on -it seems like an awful way to go ... but I also seems like it can be avoided I would go AWOL though before I would let an illegal alien put me in harm's way ... it should be a voluntary UN mission with extra hazard pay IMO |
