How may of you have a hard time stopping drinking once you start? Honestly...

I stop drinking when I go to bed.

It quits when you're nice and stupid and ready to eat. People think of marijuana as being the grub drug, no. Alcohol is the real grub drug.

Ahhhh... I see. So do you go to bed when you're finished drinking (i.e. cannot take another drink), or do you finish drinking when it's time for bed?

I can usually stop at 4. And I space each drink out over an hour a piece. Used to no be that way however, at ages 21 and 22. I'd drink until the fridge was empty. I slowed down though and now only have a beer or two on Thursday, a couple on Friday, 2-3 on Saturday and maybe 1 on Sunday. Depends on what's going on, but that's my solo, just hanging around the house beer drinking habits. I tend to stick to craft beers as well. Going to the beach this weekend with 9 other people though, so thats gonna be a whole other ballgame haha.

Nah, the only posts I get nasty on are political ones. Sick of people on a lunatic fringe forum debating parties, voting, etc.. They need to wake up and understand that none of that matters - it truly pisses me off.. lol. If anything it should make me want to drink but like I said, twice a week is about my limit nowadays.

Mexican's don't all drink as much as they're portrayed to. I have Mexican friends and we party pretty hard sometimes, but it's not like every mexican has a 12 pack under his sombrero like you'd think. It's a stereotype. Americans consume farrrrrr more alcohol and I say that with confidence, no reference needed. Mexicans do, however, seem to get drunk as fuck when they do drink. 5 or 6 beers and they're spinning.

I've had hundreds of those nights.. hahahaha.. or when you think you know what happened the night before, but there's a whole 2 hour chunk missing..

One of your friends is like "yeah it was crazy at the last bar when we did blah, blah, blah." And you're like, "What?? We didn't go there last night!" And your friend goes, "Yeah, remember, it was after you kicked the mirror off that dudes car at the gas station??!!!!" and then you're like "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!!!!?!!?!??? I didn't do that!"

You're right, though. I mean, I can have a couple beers during the day and cutoff, but if I go out for the night or have a 12 pack in the fridge & start drinking, it's not over 'til the beer is gone or the bar closes.

Doesn't always involve irresponsible activity or foolishness either, so it's not a worse case scenario - I'm not one of those bad drinkers you don't want to be around. Luckily, I have enough intelligence left to tell me I shouldn't drink too often since I blow too much money when I drink.. Also, I clearly suffer longer hangovers the older I get.

Alcohol is the Devil's finger on Earth.I never I repeat Never drank and only stopped at a few.I was not a weekend drinker I was a all week drinker.And when I had to quit weed to get a better job I became a even heavier drinker.From the years 1986-2001 I was drunk almost everyday.the only days I was not drunk was because I had no money or I was sick.And I can count those on one hand.I am not criticizing anyone for drinking . If you can handle it why not do it.I can't so I stopped and only by the grace of God do I stay sober 13 years later.Not one drop in 13 years and life is not always grand but it sure as hell isn't seen through a beer bottle . Thank you Jesus !!!!!!!!!

Well, I do have a problem with my coffee, love it. Water isn't bad either, mix it with you drinks and cut back, you may find you don't get so knock out. You could try some coffee.

Some of them can hang hardcore, but imagine the average mexican being like the average white girl when it comes to alcohol. Nothing against white girls, I'm just saying that they generally get tipsy pretty fucking quick.

The born & raised Mexican drinkers, however, pretty much put american alcoholics to shame. Some of these dudes will drink 20-30 shots of tequila and still knee-dribble a soccer ball like its nobody's business. Hahahaha

Yep. It's been over 20 years sober, but I remember that buzz was like a light switch going on.
