Why Scotland said "Yes" to Independence - Enlightening
Starts a little bit weird but tells some quite curious stuff

[link to radicalbuzz.com]

"..Exhilarated Scots are celebrating independence.

What??!?!

They said “No”??? That’s the official result? In all papers and whatnot? I must be crazy?

……

No, my good chap. I am not crazy. Neither are you. It’s just that one of us is much better informed about the Scottish Referendum, and the facts surrounding it. And the facts about the Scottish Referendum tell that Scots went with a resounding, thundering Yes vote.

How?!??

Quite simple........"

All the claims and video aside, can anyone explain why the nionists incinerated the paper ballots right away, if Scotland has the right to petition for a recount within six weeks of the vote, unless they are hiding something? No matter, labour is dead in Scotland, all the new ministers elected will be either SNP or Greens.

snp's website crashed yesterday due to membership applications.

apparently 40,000 people joined since the referendum. greens and a few other parties also had a surge in membership.

you seem to be right about labor being dead.

Jim Sillars: New generation can sow seeds for future

"One thing I think is clear – there will never be another referendum. But don’t breathe a sigh of relief if, as a No voter, you have come this far down the page. Westminster allowed it only because the elite thought it would be a walkover – like 70-30. The campaign gave them a fright, so never again will they risk it.

But we do not need a referendum, where a biased BBC and print media could set the agenda each day in favour of their side, with attacks on Alex Salmond that were vicious in the extreme.

No, come the 2016 Holyrood election, all we shall need is a majority of the votes and seats won on a mandate for independence, and Scotland shall have it. As I leave this column for the last time, that is something someone else will write about one day, not so far away."

Labour will be dead and buried, there is a campaign by the 45%ers to do just this which is part of the reason SNP membership has more than doubled in a week and growing. This isn't over as the are demos this weekend in Edinburgh on both Saturday and Sunday with a huge one in November.
The Tories are already finished in Scotland and Labour are next.

Re: Why Scotland said "Yes" to Independence - Enlightening
Labour is indeed dead.

calling seniors' homes and scaring them that they may lose their pensions if they vote yes, was something unseen in western political history, leave aside what blair did.

now they went even more hilarious - while they were tweeting from their party account, scaring people that they would lose NHS if said yes, now they are tweeting they should vote labour if they want to SAVE nhs.

their unbelievable bastardry is the main reason why snp got 40,000+ new members in a week and doubled their membership. scots (including english labour voters in scotland) are replacing labour with SNP.

wisely too - compared to the thatcherite shit labour did to entire uk, SNP properly protected people in scotland from neoliberal austerity as much as they could. their program and identity was a social democrat party, and they properly followed their program and identity.

i very much think SNP should go for uk elections and topple the westminster establishment with the influx of labour voters.

----------------

as for independence, that is indeed true - in the end they are an autonomous country, and they can elect to have their independence without the good graces and consent of the 'union'. the parts decide to join or stay in a union - not the union itself.

scotland is practically independent now, due to the dynamics the independence campaign and the resulting vote - but more importantly political climate - generated.

but, now there is a possibility of british politics being fixed. you know, the problem of 'vote tory - get thatcherites', 'vote labour - get thatcherites', 'vote anything - get thatcherites' problem.

are the naysayers enjoying the results of their nay vote yet, i wonder. like, the syria bombing, or 'no powers for u', and the proposed scotland budget cuts, and the 'suddenly resurrected' nhs privatization push and whatnot ...
