Think about what's going on here.

1. We want to take out the Syrian Government.
2. We conduct proxy wars under the disguise that we are helping the rebels, but in the end it doesn't work.
3. All of sudden there is this new global threat ISIS who in a lot of ways was funded by the US, because the funding that went to the Syrian rebels are being used by ISIS.
4. We are bombing ISIS and guess where they are located? Dun Dun Dun... Syria, the very place we were trying to conduct proxy wars with in order to topple the government.

So plan#1 failed so let's go with plan#2.

And how does Ukraine work into this equation you ask? Gas pipeline... Do your research. It's one big geopolitical energy war.

- ISIS besieges 400 IA troops west of Fallujah, in Saqlawiyah. On Sept 22, most of these troops are killed in an ISIS attack, leaving 5 survivors. This is the single biggest defeat for the Iraq army since the fall of Mosul.
- Fighting continues between ISIS and IA west of Ramadi.
- ISIS raids homes of leaders of Albu Issa and Albu Issan tribes near Fallujah.
- Explosions in Baghdad.
- IA clears ISIS from Yusufiyah, south Baghdad.
- ISF forces shell Fallujah, killing over 20 civilians.
- ISIS attacks south Tikrit.
- Jordanian troops reinforce their positions on the Iraq-Jordan border, likely in preparation for the coming US airstrikes against ISIS.
- On Sept 21, an eyewitness in Riyadh said that ISIS changed their operational tactics in preparation for US airstrikes, moving out of command buildings, storing weapons and ammo, and traveling by bike rather than truck. ISIS therefore had 2-days warning before the US strikes, at least.

Turkey is considering a ground invasion?? That should be interesting. I think it might be the way to really destroy IS, but it would have to be coordinated with Assad or else it would piss of Russia to no end. And Assad is enemey number one for Turkey, so I don't see it happening unfortunately.

I have been watching CNN all morning. They have said that they are striking the targets not only for what terrorists are doing in the Middle East, but we are striking because we have had information where terrorists had plans to strike in the West, including the USA. You cannot dismiss the intelligence we have. The public are not told everything, which is good.

Russia has done nothing to stop IS in Syria NOTHING To late now the assault has started i can see it now IS pushed back Obama giving aircover to rebels IN SYRIA TO CAPTURE TOWNS AND VILLAGES That was captured by IS. Russia should of stepped up when IS made major advancements in Syria

I think Obama was outnumbered by military leaders who knew this was necessary. I wish all presidents served in the military before becoming president, then they would "get it."
