I think the judge was pissed that they were fighting in front of the child. The judge was basically, saying ya'll liked each other enough to have sex and produce a child that didn't ask to be born. He was threatening them with jail if they were talking about each or to each in the presence of the child. We don't know the history. From the looks of the video you can tell she has a hell of a temper and likes to fight in my opinion.

I had a difficult time understanding the judge's southern accent, or maybe the sound wasn't all that good in the video. I have a difficult time understanding any accent.

I went through a custody battle with my only child ... 13 years ago. I won custody (80% me, 20% visitation father), the judge saw through all his lies.

This brought back memories ...

People react differently and although I don't condone her actions, I can empathize.

I'd like to read the entire transcript of the court hearing.
I have a few questions.


Why did this couple get divorced in the first place?

Was there any allegations of domestic abuse?

Was there allegations of child abuse, sexual, physical, verbal?

Most often judges give joint custody, sometimes full custody to the abusive parent.

This judge set the tone for this incent to happen, when he berated, belittled, repetitively calling the couple idiots/being brash and insulting like another poster stated.

The woman was already in an emotional state at that point. Then when this judge voiced his decision to grant joint custody, the mother surrendered to the officer to be arrested, because she couldn't do this anymore!

Something was clearly wrong, as maternal instincts kicked in to protect her child from this man. Just because he sat there while the mother of his child was getting tossed about, does not mean he is guiltless.

The other man and woman stepped up to the plate, trying to defuse the situation. I think we shouldn't jump to any conclusions in any case, unless we have all the facts.

Since courts have the gold fringe on the American flag, ( or no flag at all in some places) you are under maritime law.

I think parents need to work things out themselves, and avoid court rooms.

If you do end up in court, dress for court! Men in suits, or dress shirt and slacks. Women, don't dress like a hoochie! No hoop or dangly earrings, in fact no jewerly is better. Wedding rings are the only exception.

Ware modest clothes. Dress respectable, like a mother. No perfume. Splash some vanilla extract, or apple sent. Smell like you just baked a batch of cookies. Judges do judge on how you look too.
No cussing, if you disagree with what the judge is saying, write it on paper to show your attorney. If things go bad, don't make it worse. You will ofter get your say either through your attorney or you can say something to the judge when he says so.

Its the good ole boys club, where often greenback gets the justice. You can always make an appeal. Now this woman may have lost her case, due to emotions. Custody hearings are emotional, women are emotional beings. Gotta keep mother bear protecting her cubs down to a silent roar.

Its not a race or gender issue. You can't sterotype all women claming they act hysterical. I've seen plenty of men fly off the handle, and more often then not, violently.



I've seen plenty of women act level headed, logically, calm in emotional situations too.
