A portion of Terminal 1 at the airport was evacuated after an unattended bag was found in the area. A bomb squad was called in to investigate the contents of the bag.

Remember when we didn't freak out and close everything down because someone forgot a bag for a few minutes?

I disagree. We have let the government take over our lives in the false name of safety and look what is happening to us. Police state tactics telling whole towns to "shelter in place" while they look for one guy? How many times in the past year have we herd news that this airport or that factory or building or anytown USA is on alert because of "suspicious bag" that turns out to be nothing?

This has gotten ridiculous and I for one am done with it. I'm not going to get worked up over a bag and if the police tell me I need to "shelter in place" and not leave home there better be a war breaking out in my neighborhood or I am going to go wherever I damn well please.

I will not let terrorist turn me into a cowering fool.

A TSA person saw an unattended bag....

"Transportation Security Administration personnel at O’Hare International Airport discovered an unattended item located in a Terminal 1," the TSA said in a statement. "To ensure the safety of the traveling public, the terminal was immediately evacuated."
