I know sandy hook, and other incidents encouraged me to homeschool.

The vulnerabilities presented in a regular school environment, and the gestapo like training encourages kids to behave as victims, or to await further instructions.

With this in mind it causes most public schools to be shooting galleries for psychopaths.

It also breeds psychopathic behavior in that schools are taking an approach similar to prisons.

This is just another instance of the government using a crisis to push the agenda of removing the free thinking/community element from our culture.

Well, from what I've seen, schools bend over backwards for students with disabilities. 40% of budgets go to give these children FAPE. They are allowed to stay in school until older, they can't be suspended without providing services, they get their own buses, their own parapros following them around... If the disability (with accompanying emotional issues) is severe enough the child can't manage in the public schools and the parent decides to homeschool, you know darned well that kid has some serious problems. In addition, those parents who pull their kids out are usually in deep denial that there even is an problem. Their children are just special or misunderstood or the school staff is trying to force them to do stupid lessons (or whatever).

At home, they let the kids do whatever they want at home because they don't run into meltdowns. So, they believe the kid is doing well. That's not the case. The kid isn't really learning how to cope and self-control his behavior.

So I guess the real question is what is society's responsibility to bat-shit crazy kids and their parents (who often aren't much better)? Like it or not, we are getting many more kids on the spectrum and bi-polar and such because of the parents' use of drugs and Rx shortly before pregnancy and during pregnancy.

I personally want to string up all drug dealers and anti-depressant pushing doctors but that's just me.

The irony is that there's no indication Adam Lanza was homeschooled.

K-5th grade: Sandy Hook School
5th grade: Reed Intermediate (All SHS 5th graders transitioned to Reed 2nd semester)
6th grade: Reed Intermediate
7th: Newtown Middle School
8th: St. Rose (highly rated private school many Newtown children attend)
9th-11th: Newtown High School

His education trajectory was no different than the average Newtown student, including transferring to a highly rated private school for a year.

There is zero indication he was homeschooled in any genuine sense of that word.

As for NHS, multiple staff and teachers said he attend 3 years there, not two as commonly published. A fellow Latin students said he was with Lanza for "all three years of Latin."
