EBOLA CONFIRMED! ... Quoting: Goofy for God I do not have time to go through all 13 pages did this person go through ER process and how long sick Fox News says he was asymptotic on flight, CDC on the way to help, no news how he got to hospital yet... ER's have pretty good protocols for stuff like this. There are signs up that say "if you have a rash go immediately to the triage nurse" or "if you have a fever go immediately to the triage nurse". Chances are the patient was taken into the ER and isolated pretty quickly. I appreciate what you are saying but we are dealing with a deadly virus and hoping people follow directions. If that man had half a brain he would not have walked into an ER, so I don't expect him to follow directions once there. Fear and panic is what will spread this, protocols can be useless in a state of fear and panic..... Are you serious?? Our hospitals do not have the protocol for this hence the nurses complaints and picketing because of this exact fact. I am a nurse. I am telling you. We are not equipped for this not equipped for this not equipped for this!! Did you hear me? I can repeat it. NO! My name is NOT spelled wrong. Grab a dictionary. Peace, Love & Prayers God bless America And YES. I am a nurse! SIDE NOTE- I find articles everywhere and post what I think GLP would like to know. I do not necessarily believe or endorse some articles I find. So do not bash the messenger |

EBOLA CONFIRMED! WHY the fuck won't the government restrict travel to / from West Africa? It makes NO SENSE. Ebola won't spread here as it does in the third world but why risk it? Why put the lives of innocent people and / or first responders in jeopardy? I'm so sick and tired of political correctness. We can't even "discriminate" against potential biohazards. |

They will be forced to do something if there's even 1 more case diagnosed in the area. there's a huge immigrant population in that area and it'll be just like it is in Sierra Leone with people blaming healthcare, attacking others, etc. |

And even if he didn't, consider the plane(s) he was on, airports he was in...yeah, it's still a nightmare scenario even without the fair variable. Don't forget, probably went to the Cowboys game Sunday after the fair!! Just think of all of those people yelling and cheering (spit flying everywhere). We are not equipped for this not equipped for this not equipped for this!! Did you hear me? I can repeat it. I believe you. I read several recent articles about this, and how the primary failure was in disposal of the contaminated ebola waste. One expert even said something along the lines of "That's where it breaks down, every time." Anyone who believes ebola can't/won't spread within a civilized country is wrong. Think about it. In Africa you have villages that are far spread apart & not connected by interstate highways. You don't have elaborate public transportation systems. You don't have shopping malls and outdoor festivals/sporting events, and fast food restaurants on every corner. Yes, sanitation and education is a MAJOR difference... but I believe the things I just listed tend to even the scale a bit. Just one person with ebola could easily infect an entire US city in a matter of hours. |

I think that in itself opens us up in a major way. |
