Manticore (OP) User ID: 120143 United Kingdom 07/21/2006 08:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here's an excerpt of one of the prophecies- Matthias Stormberger (1830) "Two or three decades after the first war it will come a second war still larger. Almost all the nations of the world will be involved. Millions of men will die without being soldiers. Fire will fall from the sky and many great cities will be destroyed. And after the end of the Second Great War, a third universal conflagration will come. There will be weapons totally new. In one day more men will die than in all previous wars. The battles will be accomplished with artificial weapons. Gigantic catastrophes will happen. Overnight it will take place -- in a pub in Zwiesel many people will be together, and outside the soldiers will ride over the bridge. The people will run out into the forest. Those, who hide themselves at the "Fuchsenriegel" or at the "Falkenstein" remain spared." |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 120166 India 07/21/2006 09:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What are "Falkenstein" and "Fuchsenriegel"? Quoting: ManticoreI think that they're places in Bavaria, "Eagle Rock" and "Fox Bar"? I only know conversational German though, so I'm not sure exactly. Ah, I see. Interesting prophesies. This one caught my attention: The Sybille of Prague (?-1658) "Still your rule lasts, my loved Prague, but also you will face the last hour. Prague, my dear Prague, you will find a rare and terrible end. A breath goes through your lanes, sweet and warm; surprised mankind will feel it. With horribly distorted faces thousands begin to rest and freeze despite the warmth. It comes to the end. Ten musty bells of the last church clang in the air. The slow and muddy tides of the Moldau roll as a terrible hurricane roars across the country, across the city. Yellow-grey dust and heavy, poisonous clouds take the breath from humans and cattle. The Hradschin is set on fire, in the city the walls burst. Everywhere fire rages. The earth trembles, vibrated by the mighty quake. Deep gaps do open, devouring the dead and the living. The graves open as ransacked by spirit hands, and the skeletons smile with cruel laughter. Everything sinks in the unfathomably black depth. "From Vyschrad a tremendous fireball comes along, rocks fly through the air and all around blazes a sea of fire. Everything that mankind's diligence has created lies in debris and ash. One can only hear the roar of the storm. Life has gone out. I only see rubble and corpses. Slowly the clouds disappear where once the proud cathedral dome had been. I see a bloody-red fireball. It is over! Prague, your fate has been fulfilled! Where are your houses, proud city? Why do gloomy tides flood the coasts of a deserted heath? Horrible worms eat body and spirit with frightening effect. Weeds and ruins and a poisonous cloud characterizes the countryside. Is this the harvest of the human seed?" |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 17264 Germany 07/21/2006 09:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Anton Johansson, Sweden (1858-1909) [Regretfully I have no literal version of his predictions, but he is quite well known for accurately predicting the sinking of the Titanic and naming one of its victims, millionaire John Jacob Astor VI. Johansson foresaw the events of World War I, accurately predicted San Francisco's earthquake of 1906 and a volcanic eruption in 1902 that demolished the city of St. Pierre, Mertinique. He said the Third World War would break out at "the end of July, beginning of August." Her further added: "I do not know the year." |

I have chills, even though I've read some of these before. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2421No problem, I've had that link in my favourites for about a year now, but I only found it again today. Some of those prophecies talk about very heavy stuff, I just hope that none of them come true. |
Humanoid User ID: 120195 Australia 07/21/2006 10:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Great link Manticore. 1 thing I found interesting is almost all centred around a European invasion by Russia. If thier to be taken seriously, looks like the game was different than some expected. It well could be the location of the prophecisers but there seemed to be no mention of Asia or the ME. Negaterium User ID: 26222 Romania 07/21/2006 10:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... for that you need a super army. Organized and with logistics, provisionins and heavy support. And no nukes in the way. At the present moment I see no way that actual Rusia could start an invasion on Europe. Blah. Or China for the matter. They are too far for a land invasion. And Europe is a fairly large teritory. And nukes will fly in case of an invasion, making a land invasion obsolete... Bad subject for a prophecy. At least for those prophecies that are suppose to happen from now on. The WW2 part is another story. I Am The I Of The Storm |

I just found it intriguing that it was mentioned so much. These are prophecies anyway, facinating in their own way, but best read with a pinch of salt. A naked American man stole my balloons |

So that may be it. Honestly, I don't see an invasion from R . But, interesting stuff anyway. Some of the predictions are scary enough and very possible. Like India exchanging some with her neighbours. I Am The I Of The Storm |

With Stormberger, the story goes that the Nazis burnt all of his work for some reason, but what that reason is I don't know. nazis burnt lot of books..., pictures and so on... without reason |

White Rabbit User ID: 559247 United States 11/25/2008 07:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Matthias Stormberger: trying to get his birth and death dates for the 3rd Generation start of WWIII. Read that some put that puts the start date for WWIII at 1990 to 2010... which gets close to the 23 Dec 2012 date. (BTW his works were destroyed by the Nazis due to unfavorable predictions). There is also at least one Jewish predection about when the Herald is seen again. The Herald is a star constellation that is supposed to be seen for the first time in thousands of years. Around September 2012 or 2013, I have not been able to find the exact date. The Maya Calender I believe ends on 23 of Dec 2012. The Winter Solstice is the 21 Dec 2012. at which time some say is the date the Sun aligns with part of the Cygnus Rift, a dark part of the Milky. Reading about, some say that there has been better alignments in the past, and on 2030 there is a better alignment. (hmm whos predictions says there will be great calamity followed by a time of piece then Bam the end of it all?, but I think they were talking astoroids..) Looking in to it all but I belive that as the Mayan's Calender is a giant wheel, and that one complete cycle is about 26,000 years. Starting at one alignment at solstice with the (Galactic center?) and/or the Cygnus Rift to the next alignment. The wheel does not end but begains anew. I believe the Hopi said there were other cycles before this one. But with every new begining you have to watch for the birthing pains... |
