Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 63219709 Thailand 10/07/2014 08:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ebola is definitely a distraction. My guess is, more things are going to unfold in the middle east later in the future as a result of something we weren't paying attention to while focusing on ebola. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 63727835 Perhaps. The dollar's been on a tear lately, and sooner or later (probably sooner at this point) will start to drop like a rock. Maybe they want to blame ebola for that... |

It's a deadly virus that poses a risk to anyone proximate to somebody infected by it. But I guess that constitutes nothing to worry about until it kills in greater numbers? “I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” - Frank Herbert For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the blah, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17 You can't defend your home with an iPod, gaming console, or nabi. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 63727835 I just posted a thread about that sentence before I saw this post. Isn't it ridiculous? They are panicking, and think we all are stupid. Well a lot of us are but not enough are. |

If you pay attention though, it's checking the boxes off one by one. That’s the thing about progress; all the word means is “continued movement in the same direction.” If the direction was a bad idea to start with, or if it’s passed the point at which it still made sense, continuing to trudge blindly onward into the gathering dark may not be the best idea in the world. Break out of that mental straitjacket, and the range of possible futures broadens out immeasurably. John Michael Greer |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 58740569 Australia 10/07/2014 10:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yo? Quoting: MrThistle 63219709 NOTHING HAPPENING! No mass outbreaks anywhere, still just a few hundred dead in Africa. We're being manipulated, kids. The question is, as always, why? What are they trying to cover up with this ebola red herring? Hint: you are looking at the wrong thing. Instead of looking for the outbreak, look for how the virus is mutating, and the consequence for mankind. |

Last I saw 121 people died in one day in the liberian capital, more people have died from this outbreak than from all the previous ones combined, everyone knows that the vast majority of cases on an exponential curve occur on the tail end of the timechart. But yea, nothings happening. |

Who's going to check to see if those numbers are accurate? Who's go to investigate those ebola-ridden countries? Who's going to listen to someone that says the CDC is lying? TPTB know their "facts" will go unchecked. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 63483995 Canada 10/08/2014 04:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I dunno, personally I'm not complaining that I don't have the ebola. I don't know why they hype this up when they played down similar threats (like SARS) but, hey. Better than not reporting on it, I really truly hate it when they bury the important news for the powerful people's agendas (like they did with Fukushima, the BP spill effects, etc). It would really really suck to be in West Africa right now, and I'm glad I'm informed of what's going on there. I don't want to be kept in the dark. Even if (and god I hope it's the case) I never have any chance of catching ebola myself. |
