Why is the media trying to blame hospital for Duncan death?

Misdiagnosis is NOT medical malpractice nor negligence.

Misdiagnosis happens everyday in every doctor office. Fact of life, doctors are not gods.

They are human. With limited education, knowledge and abilities.

Negligence is only when obvious symptoms are ignored.

For instance....50 year old male patient comes in with chest pain. Standard if care dictates a "cardiac standing order"

If the doctor does not do the standing order, he is negligent.

There is no standing order or knowledge of African diseases. It would be impossible for doctors to know of every disease her in the US, never mind the entire world

Because its not enough that the hospital needs to treat an illegal foreigner for free on the US taxpayer's dime, clearing an entire hospital floor for him. They are also required to perform medical miracles or face charges of racism.
