damned staph infection .... did people get this 20 years ago? I smell a rotten egg here.

Out of the hospital two weeks and went right back in for surgery#2 because of staph. I've been sitting at home (fucking homebound) on home health getting IV antibiotics for 8 weeks (3 of which have passed).

I'm sick. I'm tired. I'm worried about getting to keep my job. I'm scared I will never be able to pay all this medical shit off.

And it occurs to me.

I don't remember hearing about it in the past but now staph is a huge and growing problem in hospitals.

Why? They sterilize things right? I work in a hospital. I see how careful they are.

But still...

What a racket it would be, wouldn't it? Someone comes in for surgery and winds up with a possibly lethal infection that must be treated. Oh the money that brings in!cha-ching! Extra money to save the life of the person we already treated. They have to come back so we can save them again! Oooooh the cash cow that is!

So...am I on to something, or should I put my pain pills down and just forget it?
