S&P futures essentially flat. Dow Jones Industrial future is only -33 at 7:55 a.m. central time in the US.

EU markets recovering a bit due fake report of a deal between Ukraine and rebels

Step back, stop and consider these three statements:

1) USD today is up on every major currency. US dollar has significantly strengthen over last month, will continue for the remainder of Q4.

2) Ruble continues to free-fall despite massive RCB interventions.

3) Oil is in an incredible dive, and diving faster.

Considering the geopolitical tinderbox that is Russia, Ukraine and Russia, NATO. Given these things, what is really going on here?

VIX is at 19.2 from 18.9 yesterday Fear greed up to 8 from 3 at previous close.... Those two should not be going in opposite directions...
Stocks should not be soaring when the rest of the world is down over a percent....
