I don't have a photograph because I've never had a reason to take one, but there is an "ambulance" the size of a city bus I see very often in the large city I live in. (nope, not telling you where I live). I see it so often I think they send it out every time a person trips on the sidewalk. The first time I saw it, I asked my husband what on earth could that be for? Was there a huge multi-car crash on the highway? Not that he knows but he said it was probably for a mass casualty event like that. Well, as often as I've seen it speeding down the road you would think there would be no people left alive in my city. I think they just like driving it around for fun. Or not.

I looked them up and I'm not sure what they are for. Maybe for hurricane relief. Researching the vehicle lists, I saw they have a few buses, utility trucks, a flatbed trailer and a box trailer. Here's the site for them.

Sounds like a multi-patient ambulance. It might show up at a car accident with multi patients, or an apartment building fire... things with the potential of having "mass casualties". Lots of cities have these things in the fleet.
