Ebola in England: Commuters flee bus station as African woman COLLAPSES

THE fear of an Ebola outbreak in Britain caused commuters to sprint from a coach station, screaming for help after an African tourist collapsed on Wednesday. Frantic passengers barged past one another in the fight to flee the National Express station in Liverpool, panicking that the woman had died of the deadly infection. Medical staff in full hazmat suits sealed the unconscious woman in a protective suit before removing her from the bus, which had just arrived in Liverpool from London.

This afternoon a Royal Liverpool Hospital spokesperson confirmed that the patient had tested NEGATIVE for the contagious disease.

An onlooker to the panic-stricken scene in Liverpool said: "There were loads of people on the coach and people were running and panicking when they got off. The ambulance service and police were there to meet it so I think the driver must have telephoned ahead. It was coming in from London.

It is now understood that the woman – who had recently been in Africa – was feeling feverish and was suffering from stroke symptoms when she collapsed.
