Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 33435073 United States 10/13/2014 11:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had about 4 successful kills with a snap trap. Then i came home one day, checked the cupboard, Saw a mouse in the trap. I grab it, and all of a suddent he mouse starts struggling. The bar was halfway through its head and neck. I start bugging and i run to the bathroom with it and flush it. That was the last trap i ever set. :( Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34774361 Sweet lord That is why I plan to release mine to the predators in the wild so they can have a meal |

Quoting: reb 61321219 people who put those foods out end up poisoning chipmunks, squirrels, cats, dogs, rabbits, everything. they should really be illegal. Mouse traps these days work everytime no need for poisons, and they will only kill mice. |

Copperhead User ID: 60233319 United States 10/14/2014 02:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm surrounded by farmland, and in the fall at harvest time they make a move to the acreage. The outer perimeter is manned by quit a few cats, and if they make it inside there are 2 more cats. A couple years back one made it into the house, to the second floor into the bedroom and I woke up to scratching on my pillow and when I turned on the light I watched it scamper down the side of the bed and it was gone. About 10 snap traps and a day later he was toast. This year the cats have been catching like crazy, and snap traps are set in the house just in case. The snap traps are the only way to go. I hates meeces to pieces. |

Only chunky peanut butter, they love that stuff for their last meal. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 41303992 United States 10/14/2014 02:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah, you put bait in the back, which is caged (I guess so the can smell it) and when they walk through the front, zap. They don't even have time to crap, but the trap has to remain dry, or it'll short. Efficient if you have an annual problem like I do. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 63956453 United States 10/19/2014 02:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I made the cat sleep under the house to get them as they come in and reduced the cat food. I also took off the furnace vent covers so the cat can get them that way. When I seal up the furnace vents and under the house for winter I will set out rat poison to protect my food suply and toes. I hate it when they sneak up by your feet at night. Humane way to terminate mice? The natural way is to let cats do it. They play with them / torture to death, then eat them. I think anything we do would be more humane than that. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 64078580 United States 10/19/2014 02:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Get a cat which is a mouser. Generally any cat that lives out doors. True story. A had a friend who had a cat named Bernadine and she was a mouser. My friend was complaining about mice in the attic, and I heard the mice in the ceiling making noise. The cat kept clawing at the little door in the hallway which contained the electric heater for his central air. I was there when he opened it, Bernadine climbed in and apparently from there, got in the attic. We heard a lot noise, then after a half hour Bernadine climbed down and end of mice noise. |
