That’s the thing about progress; all the word means is “continued movement in the same direction.” If the direction was a bad idea to start with, or if it’s passed the point at which it still made sense, continuing to trudge blindly onward into the gathering dark may not be the best idea in the world. Break out of that mental straitjacket, and the range of possible futures broadens out immeasurably. John Michael Greer |

Quoting: Sinclaire Obviously the pattern with GLP is that no matter what the current news might encompass, the general consensus of the members of this forum is that everything is unraveling, the world is falling apart, the world is about to or is ending, and that the holy religious apocalypse is near. Do you think, psychologically, people who read the news and extrapolate into such predictions and forecasts do so because they actually believe it? Or do you think they do it because it adds some excitement and spice to their otherwise monotonous lives? Does the incessant doom-prediction stem from an actual fear of the world ending? Or is it generated by a frantic attempt by many people to add meaning and excitement to an otherwise normal life? Deep down our soul longs for the "ideal" world to live in that is free of the chaos and the division we see today. The "end of the world" shouldn't be thought of as a group experience as much as a personal experience. Do you think the world is ending? If the "signs" are convincing enough to you, then what does your death look like for you? I believe those who do not see the signs of the times are being willfully ignorant about it. Scripture also says along with the plagues, that there will be a remnant who are protected. [link to www.thewarningsecondcoming.com] Rise now and accept My Seal, the Seal of the Living God. Recite this Crusade Prayer (33) to acknowledge My Seal and accept it with love, joy and gratitude. O my God, my Loving Father, I accept with love and gratitude Your Divine Seal of Protection. Your Divinity encompasses my body and soul for eternity. I bow in humble thanksgiving and offer my deep love and loyalty to You my Beloved Father. I beg You to protect me and my loved ones with this special Seal and I pledge my life to Your service forever and ever. I love You Dear Father. I console You in these times Dear Father. I offer You the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son In atonement for the sins of the world and for the salvation of all Your children. Amen. Go, My children and do not fear. Trust in Me, Your beloved Father, who lovingly created each of you. I know every single soul, every part of you is known to Me. Not one of you is loved less than the other. Because of this I do not want to lose one soul. Not one. Please continue to pray My Divine Mercy Chaplet every day. One day, you will understand why this purification is needed. The follow on fear of terrorism or an economic collapse lead people to "chase the dragon" of the original events. The desire for that rush has lead to the "conspiracy" information industry that many people here consider their first source for news. A drug addict considers their drug of choice to be their first source for pleasure or relief. Some people get rich and some people watch their minds wither away. |

Scripture also says along with the plagues, that there will be a remnant who are protected. I'm not sure you quite got the point. I wasn't in any way saying that the "end of the world" was a group experience, I would agree with you wholeheartedly in that it is a personal one. I am trying to have a discussion about a sort of "meta-apocalypse" on that very same personal level. Do you think it stems from somewhere within us psychologically? As for the bolded text above, why do you say that? Do you have any examples or evidence of these "end-time" signs? Without these that entire claim is essentially reduced to ad hominem. |
