I like " Blade Runner Blues " and the song that plays when he shot the female replicant breaking windows and glass. I'd watch it too if I hadn't seen it 50 times.

One of the best movies ever made, soundtrack as well.

Good movie. I liked it's depiction of how a future society may look. Good example of a degenerated corrupt noir society that we don't see in every sci-fi movie.

In the most logical interpretation of the script, and since in the book the movie is based on he's a replicant, that's the interpretation I choose.

Deckard had memories like Rachael did, so he thought he was real. The memories come from Gaff, the "Police Officer" who comes to take Deckard to the Police Headquarters.

So in the narrated version, when Deckard is talking about his ex-wife, it's Gaff's ex-wife who called Gaff a cold fish. There are clues all over, for example, why is Deckard restricted to using an old "surface vehicle" rather than a cool "flying car"? Here's something on the unicorn and other pieces of origami.

When Deckard leaves his apartment with Rachael at the end of the film, she knocks over an origami unicorn. The unicorn is the last of a series of origami figures that Gaff uses to taunt Deckard.

[Blade Runner Directors Cut] includes a scene not in the original release. It is a dream sequence, showing Deckard's dream of a white unicorn...and Gaff knew he would be dreaming of a unicorn just the way Deckard knew about the spider outside Rachael's window.

From The Blade Cuts, an interview with Ridley Scott:

Scott: ...did you see the version [of the script] with the unicorn?
McKenzie: No...
Scott: I think the idea of the unicorn was a terrific idea...
McKenzie: The obvious inference is that Deckard is a replicant himself.
Scott: Sure. To me it's entirely logical, particularly when you are doing a film noire, you may as well go right through with that theme, and the central character could in fact be what he is chasing...
McKenzie: Did you actually shoot the sequence in the glade with the unicorn?
Scott: Absolutely. It was cut into the picture, and I think it worked wonderfully. Deckard was sitting, playing the piano rather badly because he was drunk, and there's a moment where he gets absorbed and goes off a little at a tangent and we went into the shot of the unicorn plunging out of the forest.

It's not subliminal, but it's a brief shot. Cut back to Deckard and there's absolutely no reaction to that, and he just carries on with the scene.

That's where the whole idea of the character of Gaff with his origami figures -- the chicken and the little stick-figure man, so the origami figure of the unicorn tells you that Gaff has been there.

One of the layers of the film has been talking about private thoughts and memories, so how would Gaff have known that a private thought of Deckard was of a unicorn?

That's why Deckard shook his head like that [referring to Deckard nodding his head after picking up the paper unicorn].

So Deckard was a replicant with Gaff's memories, and at the end of the movie, Gaff made Deckard see that by referring to that private memory in same way Deckard did by telling Rachael about the spider memory.

The last time Gaff appears on screen is the first time he speaks. The first thing he says is, "You've done a man's job, sir!" It's an odd thing to say, but when taken into context with him tossing a gun to Deckard, it might be seen as Gaff saying, "You've earned the right, Geppetto, to be a real boy."

The unicorn was his way of telling Deckard he was free, but just like Rachael, he wouldn't live.

Not that I've thought much about this.
