Ebola suspected in Peru
A Guinea citizen has been quarantined at hospital under suspicion of Ebola.

There will be a news conference in an hour.

He has been admitted to the closest hospital to the airport, so it's my guess he has just arrived.

Let's hope it's been of an abundance of precaution, and it will be done in the future so that ebola doesn't reach Lima, which is a city of ten million people.

Probably a false alarm.

He came in by sea, has been at sea for the last two months.

But at least protocols are working!

Re: Ebola suspected in Peru
A citizen of Guinea was brought to the isolation center at Daniel Alcides Carrion Hospital in Callao province, nearby Lima, after reporting fever and pain, said Peru’s Ministry of Health (Minsa).

Minsa’s Health Director, Henry Rebaza, said the patient, who is a fisherman, was isolated as a precautionary measure and that various tests are being conducted on him to determine his condition in the next few hours.

He said the patient's symptoms do not match the actual characteristics of Ebola, but doctors will wait for the test results to rule it out completely.
