Theres a reason ford is best selling truck in the world. If you actually used your truck as a truck, and not some cityboy commuter, you too would know. Just sayin' Quoting: Anonymous Coward 38304164 I'd take the Raptor. The only true off road factory suspension. |

And on larger Fords, its actually easier to work on the diesels by lifting the body off chassis. Not too serviceable. Ram, pretty strong trucks. Diesels are Cummins (USA) GMC are goodlooking. Diesels are made by Isuzu |

I too like the gmc's look over chevy if we talkin tax dollar trucks. Buuut, I prefer the "built ford tough" trucks. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 62782477 Yeah, a good 3/4 ton with a Triton...Fords are good too. One of those new Ford with aluminum body panels.. When they come out. The fuel mileage sucks though. The Toyota will not be tearing up on you after 3-5 years of ownership. GM/Ford/Ram - Hit or miss. You won't go wrong with any of these choices, but you're more likely to have minor things break on you. Trim falling off, door lock actuators going out, sensors going bad, etc. These things don't really happen to the toyo. All the powertrains, transmissions, brakes, etc. are going to be about the same. |

Huge truck, seems underpowered to me but like a Cadillac inside the cab.. He was telling me some of the costs to repair things like brakes and tires.. They seem expensive to maintain. Our buddy is a mechanic, he told us it would be over 2k for a brake job, and this guys prices are rock bottom.. I think half the time he does our work for like 100 bucks plus part costs.. He has done a ton of work for me, saved me thousands of dollars over the years. He said when looking at some of these new trucks, find out what parts costs before buying.. he said dodge were expensive to fix too.. Chevy was the cheapest but they seem to have cheaper quality. |

It's a basic, badass SUV, and is the first new vehicle to come from Troller since Ford gobbled it up in 2007. For those with longer memories, you'll recognize this vehicle from the concept that preceded it, the Ford T-R Concept. The production model remains remarkably true to the T-R, as well as past Trollers, but it's a slightly more modern look overall, with LED taillights, contrasting colors |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 29664805 United States 10/13/2014 01:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ha ha toyota tied fo first, just think they don't even sell their best trucks here Quoting: Boris the Cat It's not funny. It's sad. I have owned vehicles from different manufacturers, in this order: Chevy Ford Chevy Toyota (I inherited this one) Chevy Toyota (I purchased this one) I have always believed in buying American, but after far too much hands-on experience with repairs, I am done. On the Ford, I had bad problems with plastic failures, ranging from cosmetic plastics to plastics in the drive-line. I also experienced several serious drive-line issues. I swore this would be my last ford and returned to GM. My last Chevy was loaded with so much retarded 'engineering' that I am still amazed they managed to cram it all into one truck. The electrical system was horrid, the plastics were horrid, the mechanical was constantly in need of repair. This thing set my benchmark for measuring lemons. My first Toyota (inherited from a family member), never had a significant issue in 115k miles. All I ever did was keep the oil changed and replaced worn-out tires, belts, and batteries. I probably would have put another 100k miles on it, but it was totalled in a bad accident. It's sad that unions and greed destroyed Detroit, but there is no chance that I will ever pay $50k+ for a truck that I know will need significant repairs before it reaches 100k miles. Particularly when I know that a large piece of the price is due to the over-inflated pensions of the lazy-assed union-workers who stuffed all the crappy engineering into my vehicle. The warranties now suck, so the cost of those significant repairs are going to come out of the consumer's pocket. I searched long and hard before purchasing my current Toyota. Dodge was a consideration, but I have several Dodge-driving-friends have made their position clear... no more Dodges for them. That was enough warning for me. The jury is still out on my new Toyota, but I have high hopes. I'm loving it thus far. There really was no other option. |

Hopefully it can tow 7400 or so like the Eco Ram. I doubt it would. That dodge eco diesel is a bit beastly.. "When properly equipped, the Colorado is expected to offer class leading payload capacity and trailering capacity of more than 6,700 pounds Read more: [link to gmauthority.com] " Guess the dodge wins.. But for a mid size truck, that colorado will pack some power for sure. I guess it would come down to price and if someone really needed to pull 9300lbs like the dodge is claiming. This truck is a beast too for pulling [link to www.topspeed.com] It is basically a semi with a box. Most likely out of everyones price range.. I seen one the other day, it was the biggest stock truck I seen around town. The box height was as tall as me. |
