I'll see if I can find a link. how do you know its Baptist South and not Baptist Downtown? They said it on the radio...I still haven't seen a link to verify this. just read article on jacksonville.com patient being isolated at Prudential, not Baptist South. The Dept. of Health said criteria had not been met. ie no fever. yet. This is the problem as we head into flu season. Ebola mimics the flu, until it is too late. |

This is too close for me. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1379065 United States 10/13/2014 02:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | notice the article does not state that the patient does not have Ebola. just that the criteria do not justify testing. THEY HAVENT EVEN TESTED. but they are keeping the person in isolation. and The rag TU says FALSE-ALARM in the headline. so guess what folks? feeling flue-like? DONT GO TO THE ER |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 54501666 United States 10/13/2014 02:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My Daughter is an ER nurse at Orange Park Hospital and Son in law is an ER doctor at the same hospital. Daughter is scared shitless, they are seeing patients everyday with ebola like symptoms, which are just like flu symptoms at first, so her husband is now making her suit-up when she sees patients with those symptoms.I have no idea what that means (to suit-up). But they are taking some precautions until they get permanent protocols in place. |

Orange Park Hospital is only regional, so you got to wonder whats going on in these bigger facilities. |

Just surprised me that she would admit it If something can corrupt you, you're corrupted already. Anonymous Coward User ID: 57708653 United States 10/13/2014 05:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A family member who is an ER nurse in Phoenix, AZ said she wore a "monkey suit" about a month ago when someone came in who was suspected of having ebola but tested negative. Which made me wonder... a month ago? They were aware a month ago that ebola is possible in a Phx. AZ. hospital and took biohazard level 4 precautions? There must be many more positive testing people we're not hearing about! |
