Breaking: Dallas Ebola Hospital - Records show at least 70 hospital staff exposed! We're screwed!
The infected pool of Ebola virus spread into Dallas is NOT a small footprint. It's enormous.

AP - About 70 staff members at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital were involved in the care of Thomas Eric Duncan after he was hospitalized, including a nurse now being treated for the same Ebola virus that killed the Liberian man who was visiting Dallas, according to medical records his family provided to The Associated Press.

"They drew his blood, put tubes down his throat and wiped up his diarrhea. They analyzed his urine and wiped saliva from his lips, even after he had lost consciousness."

The size of the medical team reflects the hospital's intense effort to save Duncan's life, but it also suggests that many other people could have been exposed to the virus during Duncan's time in an isolation unit.

Re: Breaking: Dallas Ebola Hospital - Records show at least 70 hospital staff exposed! We're screwed!
CDC director said in his press conference today (10/14) that Dallas nurse Nina Pham had contact with 76 people DURING the time she was contagious.

If we consider the possible exposure footprint of the 70 people who treated patient Zero (who died), we may take Nina's contact base as an idea of what we are dealing with.

70 staff times 76 personal contacts equals 5320 people

Anyone want to explain to me how 5300 people are going to be tracked down, more less monitored?

5320 times 76 = 404,320

404,320 times 76 = 30,728,320

30,728,320 timjes 76 = 2.3 billion

It's only been 18 days since Duncan showed symptoms. We have to give the incubation period 21 days before we can say that where was no infection to the family.

And come on ... if they are free and clear, I'll promise to never post here again.

WHO is now saying 98% have a 42 day incubation period.

Thread: BREAKING: WHO admits the incubation period for this strain can be longer than 21 days
