We've got all kinds of weapons of mass destruction just lying around, but not a BSL-4 suit to be found outside a CDC facility. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21245244 If bacteria are that tough in hospitals, how the hell could an AIRPLANE be decontaminated of the super ebola VIRUS?? It can't. Period. Frontier Airlines said the aircraft used for Flight 1143 remained grounded overnight from Monday and received a thorough cleaning, as is normal (after having an ebola-infected person fly on the plane). [link to www.cnbc.com] Totally agree. Especially if it's 'airborne' or whatever term the dum dems want to use to avoid the truth. Can't easily disinfect fabric/seats. Could possibly disinfect plastic, maybe the restrooms. Far too many surfaces. They had some new device/infrared that would do a decent job, doubt they are going to haul one into every aircraft, and certainly not between flights. There is no practical way to sanitize aircraft regularly! |

Use Ozone generators for 24 hours. Ventilate. Or use chlorine dioxide gas. The key word you used is "disinfect", now sterilize would be an entirely different matter. A supply-limited commodity, instantly transferable worldwide, person-to-person, is intrinsically and uniquely valuable. |

You think they're removing all porous materials from the plane? All the hundreds of seats, all the filters, all the hoses, all the padding, basically ANYTHING not metal or hard plastic. AND wipe all the millions of remaining surfaces with disinfectant strong enough to kill ebola, AND this is all carried out by a dedicated team of experts in hazmat suits. Rigghhhtttt I'm sure that really happened. |

[link to www.cnbc.com] Yes you can. You introduce the disinfectant at the mixer bay where the engines provide bleed air to the Environmental Control System (ECS). From there it will disperse throughout the cabin, lavs, and cockpit duct system. What is scary, is the grey water system. (toilets and sinks...ect) |

THAT is the crisis here. That Frontier plane cleaning was a joke. |
