The next day he returned to the bar sat down and ordered a coffee. The bartender snickered and asked," are you sure you don't want another shot of whiskey?" Holding his stomach the man replied," no, please, I drank so much last night that I went home and blew chunks all night long." The bartender said, "see what happens when you drink too much, you end up throwing up all night." The man replied." no, you don't understand, chunks is my dog". :lololol: |

Quoting: R. Wordsworth If he was that close to death, how the fuck did they let him on the plane? I'm not aware of anything other that poison that can make you go from fine to dead in the timespan of an average flight. I guess out of 7 billion people it's gonna happen fairly often, but it seems kinda fucky to me. I don't know. How do you fit 7 billion people on one plane?? |

You know when it gets out WHICH cruise ship this is nobody is going to want to get on it ever again. This might be bad for business. (duh) But I suppose they could turn the tables on us by requiring everyone to have ebola-rabies BEFORE they'll let any of us on board. Retarded I know but given the recent precedents who knows. |
KungPowMeowMeow User ID: 49292463 United States 10/17/2014 01:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Any flight attendants around who can comment on the frequency of torrential vomit incidents? Quoting: Fafhrd I'm a flight attendant and I haven't had any passengers vomit in about 2 months, knock on wood. We've been given almost zero info about what to do if we suspect a passenger with Ebola symptoms. We have been told to look for vomitting, fever and diarrhea and contact a supervisor if we think it is suspicious. Otherwise it is business as usual with vomitting-clean it up and do your best to not soil yourself in the process and wash your hands afterward. You might have plastic food service (made out of sandwich Baggie material) gloves available if your lucky. But a supply of latex gloves isn't required by the FAA, so the airline won't spend the money. Same with protective masks or protective gowns. They say to try to isolate the passenger (all flights are full these days so that's impossible), have the captain call for emts on landing and write a report. End of memo. Oh, and of course the reassurance that flight attendants are at "nearly zero risk" of infection from a passenger. Riiiiiight. I imagine it's gonna get way worse too. Wow. I really feel for you. Even though I am not a fan of Unions, don't you belong to one? I saw the head of the Flight Attendant Union on Fox News tonight. There is NO WAY I would continue in that environment. You have more power than you know! They cannot fly if the flight attendants refuse to fly! Just like the pilots, and this is what I cannot understand! If you all banded together and refused to fly until this situation is dealt with in an intelligent, safe and practical way, they would be forced to ground flights, which would be a GOOD THING, maybe not for the airlines' profits, but certainly for the human beings working and traveling on the planes! All it will take is one exposure to Ebola. Just one. If that were to happen, would it have been worth it? In the meantime, bring your own gloves, get a respirator and eye protection, because if someone does present symptoms on a plane you are on, you'll be glad you did! A union sanctioned strike would take months as the complaint has to be presented to the managment and then management has a set amount of time to address the complaint, ect, ect, ect. That could take months. If we organize a non-union sanctioned strike we will face termination. There was a warning posted to one of the pilots' union last week about this. So I've been saving up my sick time for 6 months, and will use it if things get harrier. We're on our own to protect ourselves. "Fortune, honour, beauty, youth are but blossoms dying. Wanton pleasures, doting love are but shadows flying." ---Thomas Campion |

I think in 5 years I saw 3-4 people actually throw up. ALL of them from air sickness from turbulence . This is not normal. Period. Quoting: Booboo 1611299 Did you ever see anyone throw up and die in their seat? Because I think that would be even more unusual. I fly about 3 trips per year over the last 18 years and on the last three trips from the Florida to CO connection with zero weather problem I saw about 4 people with vomit bags taking them to restroom. One back on Aug 1st was from somewhere Africa because of his accent. He threw up prolly 5 times. Based on seeing people throw up, not sure thats strange, but considering the ebola threat and all the GOV lies, I am very concerned. Tidette |
