and the Los Angeles ABC Seismograph has been "shut down for repairs" ALL WEEK LONG.

and its 10/17, 17's are pretty unlucky this year.

Colorado had a 3.8 this morning.

of course it is....when you build cities on a region known as "the ring of fire" it is bound to happen.

Frankly though, the west coast is at least somewhat prepared to deal with quakes, a quake on the east coast or midwest, could cause much more damage and loss of life than a similar quake on the west coast.
