This A.C.-OP has it Nailed! Black-out on ebola is to Insure U.S. Airline Companies (w/ebola + passengers) are NOT diverted! Possible?

I'm an economic junkie and that makes perfect sense to me. They can't allow the airlines to Fall. Just think how embarrassing it would be to be turned down by third world countries.

Hmmm, the rest of you guys should give this some consideration,........

Maybe the Obama administration were given some
free "Carnival Cruise" tickets if they would
put a major cap on the news about ebola--
especially regarding international travel.

I'm sure that the CEO's of EVERY major international
travel company--boats, trains, planes, etc. (not
even counting the multi-million dollar business
of travel-booking agencies who are the middle-men
for the airlines)--sat there in TOTAL panic when they
watched the Carnival Cruise ship being REFUSED port
in Mexico. I think that's the first boat turned
away from a foreign port since many nations refused
a boat load of escaping German Jews during WWII!!

Notice there haven't been any ebola train stories
yet! We probably won't see that either.

Was the "Carnival Cruise Ship refused port"
karma for what happened in the 1940's?

Just as if there "were an ebola case" on the cruise
ship "Carnival Magic"--the extra hours which the
fellow passengers who were onboard that ship
for the time it took to stop in Mexico and then
return to Galveston, TX--it could have cost American
lives. When you are dealing with a "Level 4-pathogen"
like ebola...you don't dink around with "politics"
to give assistance to people who are at risk.

The U.S. was guilty of this, and admitted to it
in 2012, refusing to allow a German vessel with
German Jews escaping WWII Germany--100s of them
died as a result.

Guess the rest of the world didn't learn the lesson
from the WWII example. Very sad.
